President Obama’s Department of Homeland Security caught then released 68,000 aliens who had previously been convicted of a crime, a new report from the Center for Immigration Studies shows.
The report, provided to Breitbart News ahead of its late Sunday evening release, reviews internal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) metrics to conclude that the Obama administration released 35 percent—or 68,000—convicted criminal aliens back into the U.S. general population when they could have been deported. “The criminal alien releases typically occur without formal notice to local law enforcement agencies and victims,” CIS’s Jessica Vaughan, the report’s author, added.
By “criminal,” ICE means people who have been convicted of a misdemeanor or felony that is not a traffic violation. For instance, traffic violations like Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol or even vehicular manslaughter do not count toward this description of “criminal alien.” As for the definition of “alien,” ICE mostly means illegal aliens, though some are legal aliens when they are considered deportable legal aliens—which is possible for legal immigrants who have committed a serious crime, like a felony.
The documents also show ICE only deported a small fraction of the aliens they encountered overall.
“In 2013, ICE targeted only 195,000, or 25 percent, out of 722,000 potentially deportable aliens they encountered,” CIS’s Vaughan wrote. “Most of these aliens came to ICE’s attention after incarceration for a local arrest.”
This report comes out on the heels of a report from the office of Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) last week which found that only .08 percent of the aliens deported in 2013 were not serial immigration law violators or convicted of serious crimes.

The feds should contract SW AIr to do these deportations. Or take bids on a large deportation program run by one airline

yeah....I looked at the report.....Atlanta seems to have quite a bit of convicted felon illegals about which they are doing absolutely nothing.
They know very well that there aren’t 12 million illegals here. I’d guess, probably more accurately, that the number is 3-5 times that. If you think about it, the Democrats (and the misguided Republicans that think for them if they appease on Amnesty) wouldn’t be pulling out all the stops for 10 million people. The stakes are much, much higher than that.

But during Hurricane Katrina, the drug-addled NOLA democrat mayor “School Bus” Ray Nagin couldn’t be bothered to use an entire fleet of school buses to save his own people from a huge and totally predictable disaster. I guess they allowed it to happen because they saw it could be exploited politically to condemn their political enemies of racism, a kind of terrorist strategy when it comes right down to definitions. And it worked exactly to the extent Useful Idiots bought it.
(BTW, and not surprisingly, in 2014, this sleazy dirtball, Nagin, was convicted “on all but one of the twenty-one federal corruption counts”. But he’s no doubt still in good standing with the Democrat Party, and why not? Democrats likely hold a cushy job open for him while he’s “serving” in prison, kind of like conservatives hold the jobs of National Guard members while they serve defending American Liberty, even as Leftists continue to destroy it from within.)
The SEIU and their cronies can manage to bus hordes of loud, obnoxious, entitlement-minded parasites, like “The Obama Phone Lady” and her ilk, to demonstrations against American Liberty, and to “Occupy” events (same thing), on cue, on schedule, and on the backs of productive employees they coercively bilk for union dues (which seen through the clear lens of Natural Individual Rights in a Civil Society, is just another way of saying theft, money laundering, fraud, tyranny and slavery).
But busing a measly herd of 68,000 criminal illegal aliens back to the border at the rate of ten-thousand a day? Oh, it can’t be done, its too complicated, we can’t possibly do that!
These are just a few more slices toward the “death of a thousand cuts” being perpetrated against our America by these Utopian Statists as they consciously, methodically, deliberately and coercively subjugate our Natural Individual Rights (Life, Liberty, Property) to their Special Interests (that’s the trait Slavery and Tyranny have in common...).
Its simple to see once I learned how it works and what to look for. Its “Rules For Radicals” and other abuses of government power by politicians, being used to gain further power and votes, and to implement the Cloward-Piven Strategy to topple our economy, with Marxism as the end goal.
