Interesting. At least I thought many of the uninsured enrollees would be those with pre existing conditions. Yet if under two percent, then it stands to reason most of those enrolling are ones who LOST their insurance due to this absolute disaster.
And I beat there’s a high percentage of enrollees who haven’t paid their premiums either.
As Nancy Pelosi said, “embrace the suck.”
Yes, for now. Who knows how this obamacrap law will affect those on Medicare, and I am one of us. And what about the many who have lost their health insurance due to this dreadful law?
My only hope is that the Republicans will win the Senate in November and collectively have the courage to impeach this destructive man in our White House. And that's just the beginning of house-cleaning the Federal government.
Even worse, it’s not unreasonable to think that at least 50% of that 1.7% are people who lost their previous insurance due entirely to obozocare.

Yesterday the White House announced that 9 billion people had enrolled in 0bamacare. When asked how that was possible with a World Population of only around 7 billion people? White House press secretary Jay Carney stated, “The numbers may be off a smidgen, but far exceed the original goal.” I guess that’s as accurate as anything else we get from this administration these days.
DUMMCRAT PROBLEMS ACCELERATE The sting of the electorate is soon to be unleashed----voters steaming from broken promises, the disastrous online rollout, hundreds of thousands of policy cancellations, sticker shock over minimal coverage, ruinous deductibles, fleeing doctors, chaotic hospital networks, plus Obama's self-serving changes and delays in the law to make himself look good.

Good points Liz, but the MSM focuses on 'how many people are signing up'. The 'sign up' farce ignores the 800 pound gorilla in the room... if people don't sign up they'll be fined (now or down the road) AND be on the wrong side of the IRS.

One of the interesting trends has been the basic failure of Hispanics to enroll in ObozoCare.
One of our relatives is a semi retired/part time ER nurse in the Midwest. She said the illegals, there, are afraid to sign up. Of course, they still receive free ER care at every hospital she is aware of. Of course 98% of that ER care is basically primary care at a high cost to the rest of us.
We have a younger friend, who is a fairly heavy hitter in the wine industry and a part time consultant for good restaurants after a couple of decades as a chef.
The restaurant owners are equal opportunity with the larger restaurants, few in any employees regardless of race or gender are now working over 28 hours per week in their restaurants. So many of these workers are making ends meet by working elsewhere for cash under the table. They are afraid to go on line to enroll because of the potential IRS problems. So they are bare re any insurance. Most are young and healthy and will pay cash for the few times they need a doctor. If they need ER care, they will let the hospital and the rest of us eat the costs.
Finally, Hispanic/American business owners don’t trust the sign up sites. They have been advised that entering their financial data on the ObozoScare sites could probably make them open for identity theft.
Q. Why all the O/Care dilly-dallying, delays, fixits, extentions, enrollment flim-flam?
A. Secy Sibelius is (1) aiding and abetting Scumocrats to plug O/Care enrollees into Democrat voter rolls.....,and, (2) helping Obama to wire- transfer tax dollars billions. And remember, taxpayers....once in the hands of the Dummycrat criminal hordes, the tax billions are untraceable.

ACA SEC. 4002. PREVENTION AND PUBLIC HEALTH FUND.
(a) PURPOSE. It is the purpose of this section to establish a Prevention and Public Health Fund (referred to in this section as the ‘‘Fund’’), to be administered through the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of the Secretary, to provide for expanded and sustained national investment in prevention and public health programs to improve health and help restrain the rate of growth in private and public sector health care costs.
(b) FUNDING.—There are hereby authorized to be appropriated, and appropriated, to the Fund, out of any monies in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated—
(1) for fiscal year 2010, $500,000,000;
(2) for fiscal year 2011, $750,000,000;
(3) for fiscal year 2012, $1,000,000,000;
(4) for fiscal year 2013, $1,250,000,000;
(5) for fiscal year 2014, $1,500,000,000; and
(6) for fiscal year 2015, and each fiscal year thereafter, $2,000,000,000.
(c) USE OF FUND.—The Secretary shall transfer amounts in the Fund to accounts within the Department of Health and Human Services to increase funding, over the fiscal year 2008 level, for programs authorized by the Public Health Service Act, for prevention, wellness, and public health activities including prevention research and health screenings, such as the Community Transformation grant program, the Education and Outreach Campaign for Preventive Benefits, and immunization programs.
(d) TRANSFER AUTHORITY.—The Committee on Appropriations of the Senate and the Committee on Appropriations of the House of may provide for the transfer of funds in the Fund to eligible activities under this section, subject to subsection (c).
