Mon Dieu!!!!
CONSERVATIVES in France? As I live and breathe...

Just wait for our 2014 (and, I fear, 2016) elections — any republican victory may well be meaningless given that party's near-uniform lack of drive for stated platform-planks.
It may well be that France will be more conservative in 2020 than the US.

Not total conservatives, but pi**ed off at social engineering nonetheless. Anything that burns down the established order of liberal domination is good in my book. Viva La France!
My question is, why can’t such movement take hold in Eastern European countries like Romania and Estonia? Moldova recently tried to institute a homo-propaganda bill, but was forced to back off by the EU. Time to stick it to these thugs!
In other great news, Kyrgyzstan (Central Asia) has now brought to the floor a Russian copy-cat bill, and it is expected to pass!

At some point very soon the European welfare state will collapse.
Trying to stave that off a little bit longer is what caused them to make their fool’s venture in Ukraine, which has gone exactly as everyone (except for die hard idiots) who served in the cold war military knew it would.
Desperate people often do really stupid things and European bureaucrats are no exception.
I expect the EU experiment will end the same way the french monarchy ended.
Buy popcorn.

This shows that the Post knows nothing about the Tea Party. When the Tea Party started it had nothing to do with social conservatism.

WaPo acknowledges Manif Pour Tous, therefore it exists.

The article says the French version is very different from the american because it is more social than fiscal.

I think cloudmountain meant the comment [You may be right. I hope not.
