I don't think it's an April Fools prank, if you thought of asking.

"The onyx chalice, they explained, was concealed within another antique vessel known as the Chalice of Doña Urruca"

You lose something?

First, this is doubtful.
Second, this comes out on Apr. 1.
Third, it doesn’t matter, even if it is the real thing. The chances of that are slim to none.

It would be interesting to read their evidence.

I thought it was in Valencia cathedral. There’s a whole book about it’s history. Quite intriguing.

It doesn’t look like the sort of table setting that would have been used under the circumstances. I’d expect something a bit more down-to-earth.

Oh sure, a couple of Spaniards found the Holy Grail.... And it just happens to be found in.... Spain.

Yeah, right.

No, but someone wrote a book and they’re trying to sell it.

The probability of the son of a carpenter using an onyx chalice seem rather small. As in the “Indiana Jones” movie, Jesus probably used a common wooden or pottery cup, which means it’s likely been dust for a long time.

That’s not the cup of a carpenter.

I suppose this could be genuine, but the gold and jewels would have had to have been added. I'd love to see the complete provenance for it.
