Republican pundit Charles Krauthammer said that when Republican New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie embraced President Barack Obama after Hurricane Sandy a week before the 2012 presidential election, he was essentially giving Obama a lap dance.
“I think many Republicans are extremely upset with what was described in the press as giving Obama a bear hug,” Krauthammer said on Sunday in a debate with Obama strategist David Plouffe, according to Politico. “I saw it slightly differently, I thought it was more of like a lap dance. Not a phrase I would use on television, since the image is too disturbing.”

I never thought that Christie was the establishment choice because of Sandy. It seems now the maybe looking at Jeb Bush.

Christie has no chance now and his internal polls likely show it. It’s good that he’s drawing the MSM’s attention. He’s a helpful RINO distractor.
Disturbing, but accurate imagery. Of course, if the GOP establishment elites hadn’t given us Bishop Willard Romney, Christie’s lap dance wouldn’t have saved Hussein.
The corruption factor is what makes Jeb look loveable (he has no identified issues). Christie? A guy attached to a New Jersey bridge, and will never sell in any southern state. If anything, Christie wants the Attorney General job, and has some pay-back agenda that he’s working on.
That’s gonna leave a mark! If Christie gave Obama a lap dance it could result in a felony charge of assault with a fat ass.

Krauthammer does have a way with words.
Christie did some good things when dealing with powerful public employee unions. However he is a fatally flawed character and will never be President.
If Christie was 150 lbs slimmer and wasn’t such a pr***, he might have had a chance. He’s perfect for Joisey...but s President?? He’s a misfit.
Obama certainly got his happy ending from Christie’s performance.

I certainly hope this self-absorbed creature NEVER becomes the Republican nominee for President. I still remember his keynote speech at the 2012 Republican national convention. He spent all his time touting the glories of Chris Christie and otherwise wanking instead of talking about the Party and its nominee.
For a crinkled old Ivory Tower-type, Charles can be quite the card!
