"Public support for the Affordable Care Act narrowly notched a new high in the latest ABC News/Washington Post poll, while criticism of Barack Obama's handling of the law's rollout - although still substantial - has eased from its peak last fall."

[ ] Do you support Obamacare, with it’s free health care and guaranteed good health
[ ] Are you a racist, right wing Neanderthal, bitter and clinging to your Bible and guns.
Like I’ve been saying ... the GOP’s all in against ODimwitcare for 2014 will be a disaster.
But ... I doubt they’ll listen to me.
(”ABC/WaPO”) needs to be in the headline.
What was the POLL Question........as it did NOT have the word “Obamacare” in it, etc......
Loaded propaganda poll.........Credibility is job none.
How can 1/2 of 350M people say its a good thing when only 6M are using it?
The vigorous Calvinball of this administration has temporarily alleviated some of the stink.
But it remains a program that only liberals who are more self righteous than anything else could love.
The rollout of the GOP health plan is even worse.
I don’t believe it....They word the poll question in a manner which says we all like it.....kind of like would you rather eat poop or like Ocare.
0SocialistCare propaganda hits a high, is more like it.
Wow, it went up from 26% to 49% in a couple days!
Push poll lies just like the lies they signed up 7 million by the deadline. Not one single sentence, phrase or word can you believe from these people or the government.
The Lie-Machine is in overdrive. The Big Push is on to save the Democratic Party from itself.
They do need a broader front, but the GOP is having a civil war right now.
More lies from the WH or skewed polls taken in Harlem or Detroit
And hell look at how much PR they’ve had to throw at it. They probably sucked all of the funds out of the black fund and used it on 0’Care PR
Hoping this is an April Fool’s joke.
Seems like, just a few days ago, it was getting 26% support. What happened? (duh)
Sorry, did not read yours before posting (post #20). We think alike.
METHODOLOGY - This ABC News/Washington Post poll was conducted by landline and cell phone March 26-30, 2014, in English and Spanish, among a random national sample of 1,017 adults. Results have a margin of sampling error of 3.5 points.
It’s a junk poll, a desperation poll, a poll seeking an predetermined answer.
Spanish speaking tells you illegals. American citizens speak English.
Adults means anybody despite their voting history, registration or likelihood.
The only polls that really matter are properly balanced polls of likely voters.
Furthermore - we don’t get the crosstabs. The pollster, Langer, doesn’t or won’t provide the details of the poll or the demographics.
Garbage and lies and lies and garbage: that’s our American media.
Yea, forget about that poll last week showing a 25% approval... The propaganda machine around this lie is better than anything Nazi Germany had.
Just because it might work doesn’t mean its a good idea.
What is wrong with people — do they place so little value on their liberty?
I know, it was that twerking video. LOL
Exactly. Americans eventually come around to accepting abridgements to their freedom in exchange for what they're told to believe is "for the greater good." As such, GOPers will need to broaden their message way beyond Obamacare to start closing the gap in the Senate in November.
Half of Americans don't even understand why Obamacare restricts their liberty. They'd eagerly glom onto single payer if their favorite celebrity or sports star told them it was best for them. We're not talking about a particularly bright bunch here...
The poll question asked:
“Overall, do you support or oppose the federal law making changes to the health care system? Do you feel that way strongly, or somewhat?”
The propaganda apparatus is in high gear.
And the liberals and great unwashed will lap it up.
This push by the press would be laughably embarrassing if it weren’t so damned frightening.
The HOR RINOs were wrong to fund it. With it still being funded, Obama's been able to change the rules at will. Besides that, the 'pubs look weak. Nobody's going to change their allegiance to side with people who can't or won't accomplish something.
Constitutional rights are not lost when some poll exceeds 50%. This is (was?) a Constitutional Republic, NOT a democracy.
oBomaScare and the 'due date', along with the fact that DC has it primary for Mayor today, just proves that people in 'high places' have either a real sense of IRONY or a fair sense of humor.
To have both such misconstrued events fall on APRIL FOOLS DAY is as much a sense of brilliance as "The Cable Guy" and his 'Only a genius would build a city 5 feet below sea level and fill it with LIBERALS that can't swim'(close) as being 'good, timely statements'.
"They" have skewered the books and numbers so bad that NO one has a clue as to what is up.
Maybe 'we' should elect a 'weak' Pres/Senate/House for the next term as the first four years or going to be 'wasted' getting this mess somewhat straightened out. No sense 'wasting' (real) GOOD people for that period, get the seat(s) and get to work. Then follow up with GREAT people for the RECONSTRUCTION II for the 'Civil War' that was fought with (almost) nary a shot being fired.
Support ( Net 49% Strongly = 25 Somewhat = 24 )
Oppose ( Net 48% Strongly = 12 Somewhat = 36 )
2. Overall, do you approve or disapprove of the way Barack Obama is handling implementation of the new health care law? Do you feel that way strongly, or somewhat?
Approve ( Net 44% Strongly = 19 Somewhat = 25 )
Disapprove ( Net 54% Strongly = 15 Somewhat = 39 )
3. Overall, do you support or oppose efforts by Republicans in Congress to replace the new health care law? Do you feel that way strongly or somewhat?
Support ( Net 47% Strongly = 28 Somewhat = 19 )
Oppose ( Net 49% Strongly = 17 Somewhat = 32 )
So, it has a 3.5 percent margin of error and the results in question 1 ( which is where they got their headline )show approval at 49 percent and disapproval at 48 percent. It could have easily gone the other way within the margin of error. If they were truly honest in their reporting, the headline would be from question 2, which is a 54 percent disapproval versus a 44 percent approval. But it is the lapdog media, so that is to be expected.
Supported by tens of millions who have NO plans of ever signing up.
Stalinists lie. ALWAYS.
Oh, I get it... April Fools!!!
It was 29% two days ago.
And not only that, but the unemployment rate is only 6.7%!!
Easy, "It's a good thing.............I ain't on it.".....................
How many sign-ups are people who lost their insurance because of OBC?
How many of the 40 million uninsured (their number) are still uninsured.
How many of the enrollees are illegals?
How many were previously insured and are now uninsured?
Wow! The April Fools jokes are coming Fast and Furious today.
Thank GOD, you RINO progressive East Coast hack.
What a load-question.
Everyone wants changes to the health care system. From that, they deduce WE WANT THE MONSTROSITY KNOWN AS OBAMACARE.
Freakin progressive East Coast hacks.
More Beltway BS from the manure machine. Believing anything that comes from that source is an exercise in foolishness.
Times are so great we should send the lovely Michelle, her Mom and her wonderful daughters on a exotic, expensive vacation - they have so earned it.
Wow, yesterday I read support for BOcare was at 25%.
What a difference a one-day news cycle makes.
Yeah, notice they never used the term Obamacare( or even ACA ) in their questions. They leave it as vague as possible so they can put their own interpretation on it.
Overall, do you support or oppose the federal law making changes to the health care system? Do you feel that way strongly, or somewhat?
Notice, it does not say "Obamacare". It does not say "The Affordable Care Act". It does not in fact identify the law at all. It says "the federal law making changes to the health care system".
Well, given that people are somewhat ignorant, and given that Obama is acting illegally anyway, how many people took one of Obama's last three months of announcements of "changes in the health care law", and assumed they were new law that was "changing the health care system", and are happy with THESE changes, and support THESE changes?
After all, a lot of conservatives supposedly supported it now. Maybe that was conservatives saying they supported the delay in the mandate that we have been fighting for the past 2 years.
The post poll has always been more positive for the health care law than all the other polls, because it tries so hard to hide what it is asking.
This poll is BS!!!
