WELCOME TO THE

(where our troops, allies and their families can refresh themselves)

Good morning, Everyone.

Good morning to our

Military, our Allies, and their families.

Thank you, Ma, for preparing the Canteen
for today's activities
Hope someone knows the answer;
...isn't there only one Unknown left in the
Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers?

SOUP FOR THE TROOPS

Making Z Zoup
A cup of this...a teaspoon of that...

Fingernail polish often contains four or five chemicals
the Environmental Protection Agency calls potentially harmful.
If a person bought fingernail polish in a 55-gallon drum,
the empty drum could not be legally thrown into a landfill.
It would have to be transported to the nearest state-regulated
commercial hazardous-waste disposal facility.
As many as 350,000 nail-polish bottles find their way
into the average U.S. municipal waste landfill every year.

The official soft drink of the state of Nebraska — Kool-Aid.

The original name of Pepsi-Cola was Brad’s Drink.
(I bet Bradsgramma put that name in for consideration. LOL)

According to 1903 issue of "The Old Farmers' Almanac,"
the best time of the day to select a new pair of shoes
is in the afternoon, when the exercise of the day
has stretched the muscles to their largest extent.

The first American publisher of valentines
was printer and artist Esther Howland.
During the 1870s, her elaborate lace cards were purchased by the wealthy,
as they cost a minimum of 5 dollars — some sold for as much as 35 dollars.
Mass production eventually brought prices down,
and the affordable "penny valentine" became popular
with the lower classes.

The FR Canteen is ALWAYS

Come in, sit down.
Grab a cup of joe, or tasty tea.
Mingle a bit, chat with the troops
or family member.
There's always plenty of conversation, silliness,
and plain old BS in the FR Canteen.

REMEMBER THEM ~ DEFENDERS OF FREEDOM

FR CANTEEN MISSION STATEMENT

Showing support and boosting the morale of our military and our allied military and the family members of the above. Honoring those who have served before.

It's going OK. Tracking some storms over in Eastern Oklahoma this morning. Looking to be active day with storms over in Arkansas.

Also will be awaiting words on update for Microsoft Windows next week.

Also keeping the people of Ft. Hood in my thoughts and prayers in regards to the events of yesterday.
