While sitting in the local Starbucks I was interrupted by loads of sirens and police units driving down Del Amo Blvd. The guy in a white Dodge drove down the street, did a U-turn and parked just a hundred yards from here.
The entire street is in lock-down. My car is in the closed area.

Sitting here; don't need caffeine.
You’re actually a little north of Hawaiian Gardens. Del Amo Blvd runs through Lakewood.
They’re probably after two women out delivering newspapers.
Every time I read the word “Hawaiian” I smell Hawaiian punch.
Yes.
He’s Hawaiian...
That’s cool..would like to copy that to my fb page.
Just be careful.
What did you have in your car? Get an attorney.
Back on line at a McDonalds. The Sheriff’s Deputy came in an evacuated the Starbucks. Tactically, they should have done that an hour ago.
Lincoln/Carson and Norwalk Starbucks.
More command center and SWAT arrived 15 min ago.
LMAO
Hawaiian Gardens is the polar opposite of its nice name. Bad Place. Nice Starbucks.

This guy
Correction: CARSON Blvd.
Wow. Well I hear McDonald’s coffee is pretty good.
Yikes.
Traffic is going to be a nightmare. That location is only blocks from a huge mall, the Long Beach Towne Center. Carson St. is busy pretty much all the time. There are also casinos there, poker clubs, etc.
Local coverage:
Carson Street was closed between Juan Avenue and Norwalk Boulevard and Norwalk Boulevard was closed between 216th Street and 223rd Street, the release stated.
Sheriffs asked that local residents and motorists avoid the area until further notice.
The City of Hawaiian Gardens is the smallest city in Los Angeles and is located near Lakewood and Long Beach.
The incident occurred just hours before the Hawaiian Gardens 50th Anniversary Parade and Carnival was scheduled to begin.
Oh you still have the place pegged right, I travel through one side occasionally, up Lincoln/Carson to hit the 605 or one of the cities up that way. But my understanding now is it's more dangerous for Blacks than Whites. And of course there is the Gardens Casino to draw even more to the area.
The action is a mile East of the 605; LB Town Center is to the West. There should be no problem around the mall.
I hiked home. The car is in the parking lot with all the action.
STILL NO news helicopters.
