Nanny state people were in fact a big problem a decade ago. And no I never used that with respect to folks who wanted to, say, keep sodomy bans. I dare you to prove that I did if you think so; otherwise you owe me an apology as long as your nose.

From Ron Paul, to Rand Paul.

Today, you have adopted the strategy of moving God away from the Christians and social conservatives, over to the pro-Sodom and Gomorrah, libertarians.

To: ansel12
Well if you want statist social conservatives you will find none in the libertarians.

If you want BIBLE faithful people, you’ll find a LOT and you will also find they do not appreciate the blasphemy from you.

Dare you identify the thread?

The trouble is you don’t know the difference between grinding an axe and actual wisdom.

A government which pretends it can interdict more than a joke’s worth of drugs is going to need to be so big and have such sweeping distortions of the Constitution that all the powers will be there for homosexuals to abuse in demanding gay marriage. You can’t have one intrusion power without the other.

Or, as we used to keep warning liberals, “A government big enough to give you what you want is also big enough to take it away.”

A government which can legislate religion today can ban it tomorrow.

The federal government just started gay marriage in the military and federal employment and immigration, you want to leave it there, just as you have fought for all of the governemnets moves to the left on social issues.

Your lame attempts to fight social conservatives by telling them that the continuing destruction of America and conservatism and limited government through social liberalism, IS fighting for small government, is bizarre, so bizarre, that a few years ago, you started the GOD!!! angle.

Your social liberalism is big government, for instance gay marriage in the military and federal employees and immigration, will prove to be a HUGE next step in larger government.

You are the one who is being continuously bizarre. I say we do not need to police every single moral issue at the level of scapegoating the creation. That many such issues can, as from the founding, be left between man and God, which is not a new theme -- it is a very old one! As just two examples, people were not forbidden alcohol; they were forbidden to exhibit drunkenness in public. People were not forbidden to buy poisons; they were forbidden to use them to poison people. Actual responsibility for what you did -- not for what you had that someone else just fears you will do wrong with.

I’m telling the Ansel brand of social conservative that he is busy shooting himself in the foot. “Gay marriage” never was an issue until finally you guys, with your busybody ways of banning this inanimate item, that inanimate item, the other inanimate item, got a government so powerful it could order a state to support “gay marriage.” NOW, the lid was off of Pandora’s box. And you pried at its hinges.

Then why is there thread after thread of you fighting tooth and nail to protect the new laws creating gay marriage and abortion, of mocking pro-lifers, and people against gay marriage in the military, and mocking God by pretending to speak for God as you mock conservatives fighting to end abortion and protect marriage?

Because I do not agree on the agent, you say I don’t agree on the goal?

It is YOU who are fighting foolishly and who will reap the opposite of your stated desire.

Look at your post 47.

Just as you were pushing social liberalism 10 years ago, today you revel in your success, and fight any efforts to roll it back, and you mock the successes that Christians do have.

Post 47 was gloating, and still more opposition to conservative politics.

God has already won - now we’re just picking teams to find out whose names go on the trophy (Book of Life)...

I see it as well, people fighting for libertarianism and gay marriage,

same old libertarian bashing meme - couched conveniently together. Repeat this lie enough and people will believe eh? -

I’m still waiting for the first post from you, that is not just a personal statement about me.

Why not take this opportunity to post something useful to the thread?

I think we can assume that God doesn’t want us to vote for pro-abortion, pro-gay, anti-social conservative candidates.

I don’t gloat. I’m sad to see you doing it to yourself. Look at it this way: I have warned you for 10 years to stop. Somewhere along the line Psalm 2 has to kick in... God laughs.

My poor friend, you’re doing it all in the flesh. As if the law could do the heavy lifting. It can NOT.

About YOU? A statement about memes and lies is about YOU?

Well if the shoe fits wear it.

What have I got to gloat about, you libertarians and leftists are winning the culture war.

I would like for you to explain how a decades worth of promoting Satan’s politics is what you think God wants you to do?

Why would God want us to not vote conservative and for pro-life, pro-marriage, pro-God, conservative candidates?

Why does God want you to mock the pro-life movement?

Why would God want us to not reverse the gains of the left?

Law gets in the way at best, and presents itself as an opportunity for easy twisting at worst, when it is expanded past its godly role. That’s been the case here.

There’s little if any Spirit in what we’re seeing from Ansel. It’s all robotic, proud flesh. God’s program is love. And no, Caesar isn’t appointed as its prime vector. The church is.

I am not caring whether you want to gloat or not.

You’ve accused ME of gloating.

You forget that Christ calls to liberty not to slavery.

We’ve made a humongous massa, and not only has that been ineffective in curbing sin, it has actually been twisted to require sin.

They say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing repeatedly hoping the result will differ this time around.

Whatever it is, you yourself say you’ve done it for 10 years. Longer than even I would care to keep track of, but you insisted on keeping track, so I mention it.

And look bud. Why can’t Cruz explicitly agree with Paul on the parts that explicitly call for smaller government. Steal Paul’s thunder, if he’s serious about serving the Lord. I am not gloating that Cruz currently fails there. I’m hoping Cruz will get a clue!
