Help Sarah Palin and Jon Stewart Help Veterans

APR 7, 2014 • BY MARK HEMINGWAY

As far as political odd couples go, it doesn't get any odder than Sarah Palin and Jon Stewart. However, the two have come together to help veterans and have cut an ad in support of ACP AdvisorNet, which helps vets get jobs. ACP AdvisorNet is an innovative idea -- it's a virtual community service opportunity to assist those who have served by connecting them with business leaders to help jump start their careers.

And since it's National Volunteer Week, consider doing your own part to help. By visiting the ACP AdvisorNet's website you can even offer your own services to provide career guidance, based on your vocational expertise. Business leaders from all over have pitched in with the effort, and it's a great way to help veterans that goes beyond simply writing a check. The site is free, and ACP AdvisorNet does not sell ads or any of the data they collect. Watch Palin and Stewart's ad for ACP AdvisorNet below -- Stewart even graciously lets Palin have the punchline:

I agree with the ACP goal of helping vets, and kudos to anyone who helps with that.

When the time comes that 2 Americans, with very different political viewpoints, can’t come together to help even the best of causes — when that time comes, you no longer have a country.

That’s the way I see it.

It’s entirely possible to “help even the best of causes” without collaborating with those who would like to see you destroyed.

Or, brings to mind the commercial from several years ago with Al Sharpton and Pat Robertson.

And, if you can't find common ground on anything, you've lost your country.

The mere fact that political polar opposites appear together in the ad tells us that this is a cause that everyone should support. It's not a partisan thing.

I wonder how many here were giving Newt a big kumbayah when he appeared with Pelosi?

Somehow I just can’t picture Nancy Pelosi ever making a trip to Kandahar...

But Sarah Palin I can definitely picture, and now, even Jon Stewart......

Stewart is a staunch defendent of our troops - always has been -
Stewart has always had our troops backs - I would hope Freepers can give credit where credits due - not act like liberals.

Do you remember when O’bummer tired to make our wounded vets pay for their own medical care?

http://thedailyshow.cc.com/videos/mnr7kx/that-can-t-be-right-—veterans—health-insurance

He was furius over the VA’s backlog of our vets benefits - with boxes and boxes just thrown into a warehouse - 2 1/2 years delays...

on the roll out

he slow roasts Sebelius

Yes, Stewart is a liberal - but he’s a rare one in that he WILL go after even O’bummer - and hard.
