I had to check with the EDD to see if someone was collecting state disability benefits and I gave them the social security number she used to get the job and I was told that there were at least 10 people in California who were using that specific SS number for employment purposes.
And, of course these people are just breaking the law because of an act of love.

How many times are we expected to buy this tripe? The issue was supposed to be settled when Reagan made his deal. Instead, we got a twenty-fold (at least) increase in the illegal alien population. Every proposal since that has been more of the same.
Very few people in the GOP (and basically none on the other side) are willing to take the position of sending illegals home and not letting them come back. No one wants to offend the admittedly powerful Latino voting bloc, and no one wants to be the target of the inevitable “families ripped apart” stories the media will run 24-7.
It’s going to take, IMHO, some very principled and self-sacrificing politicians, (including one in the WH), who are willing to become pariahs and risk losing power to push through the kinds of reform we actually need - illegal aliens go home, borders secured for real, and anyone wanting to return has to go to the back of the waiting line.
