Russian channels caught lying
Human Rights in Ukraine ^ | 04/11/2014 | Halya Coynash

Despite the vast amounts Russia is spending on anti-Ukrainian propaganda, the TV channels Rossiya 1 and NTV skimped on actors – and got caught.

Rossiya 1 shows a person they call Andriy Petkov and call him a supporter of federalism who was beaten up by “radicals”.

NTV shows the same man, even adds a caption with the same name, yet has a quite different story, Petkov, they claim, was certainly injured, but is himself a “mercenary” who has made a “sensational confession” – that he, a resident of Germany brought 50 people, “all residents of Western Europe” to Ukraine to carry out violent acts.

I think a lot of them forget how bad it was in the 1960’s, 70’s, and 80’s for conservatives. What’d we have? William F. Buckley’s NATIONAL REVIEW and HUMAN EVENTS and THE AMERICAN SPECTATOR. We’ve much more now. We’ve faced down bigger problems. We need to stay positive. To take on the cultural causes for our decline and keep pushing to unleash the productive sector of America. This woe is me stuff is self defeating. What coach would say, “Team, we’re going to lose. Might as well not try.”?

I wouldn’t question whether the Russian news reports are real; I’d only question Human Rights in Ukraine’s interpretation.

Pravda was always such a humorous name for the Soviet/Russian news media.

Here in the US it is no better.

The 'affordable' care act, 'Transparency' in government, 'equal' rights.

I bet the US doesn’t even have FReeREpublic either. Oh, yes it does. Hey, maybe there are places where we can speak out. Maybe we don’t have to despair and say we’re no different than a totalitarian regime.

I think that this nation is still great.

It is. It's just the society and government that have gone to hell.

But at least then we still had the “Silent Majority”, that isn’t the case anymore.

No-one bans journalists unless they don’t want people to know what’s REALLY going in.

Oh, is that why the White House has banned journalists ?

America is not inexorable decline unless we give up and accept that we’ve not good enough facts, arguments, and evidence to expose Obama’s and the Democrats’ failures. I’m not giving up on the country I love.

Remember the Zimmerman case?
Good example. Our alphabet soup at least correctly reported who shot whom. Russians would tell you that Trayvon shot Zimmerman then traded bodies with him, or something equally ridiculous.

A quick review of Human Rights in Ukraine website will give you insight on the selective nature of their concerns.

In this case it's hard to comprehend a so-called "human rights" organization that pays more attention to how events are portrayed on foreign television than the actual events themselves.

"While many in American media distort facts by biased reporting, there is usually some truth under that. Russian media does not report at all. Normal modus operandi for them is to take any fact and turn it inside-out upside-down. Sometimes the lie is so obvious that even our domestic Putin fan club has nothing to say in support."

Unfortunately, we have a population - called liberals - that would believe either Russian or American news out of hand.

Russian channels caught lying

Depending upon the story, in recent years (since the 0bama regime seized power) some of the Russian source like Pravda have proven to be more truthful, informative and reliable than American sources like SeeBS, ABC, NBC, NY Slimes, Wash Compost, etc.

Except in this case where they were caught red-handed spewing their blatant propaganda.
