When he voted for cloture on raising our nations debt ceiling (credit card balance), McConnell voted to keep us on the pathway to financial ruin.

The NRA is part of the business as usual political machine in Washington, what more can I say.

They say McConnell is fighting Harry Reid but hasn't the NRA endorsed or given Reid high ratings in the past????

I am sending a contribution to Matt Bevin, that's one thing for sure.

Too bad for the liberal declared-pro-RINO4Obama NRA.

There is more than the 2nd Amendment.

To be fair to the NRA, they try to stick exclusively to gun issues and favor incumbents otherwise.

Bevin would be better but that’s on issues different than the narrow NRA view.

This story is days old. Really, the NRA didn’t have much choice since Bevin self-destructed over cockfighting. Money sent to Bevin is now the equivalent of tossing it onto a bonfire.

I belong to the NRA, but I give my money to GOA.

Always thought about joining GOA. Today I did it.

You’re dead to me NRA. I should have left when I found out Grover al-Norquist was a board member.

This makes perfect sense if you’re a rabid one-issue voter.

If you can't solve the problem, there's money to be had prolonging it.

- The NRA

Now, where's all the NRA types with their free hats, stickers, duffel bags and their "but, but, but" arguments that ignore the NRA assisted in writing the 'gun free school zone' nonsense, the "assault weapon" bans of the 90s, or that it was the NRA that wrote the first federal gun control legislation, and were responsible for the automatic weapons laws?

"But they're different now." Really?

And yes, the NRA has given Reid A+ ratings in the past.

With a 40 point lead, this endorsement isn’t going to be a factor, McConnell will defeat Bevin handily regardless.

One more reason I cancelled my NRA membership and joined GOA.

How convenient! My NRA membership expires this month. I guess they have made my mind up about renewal for me.

1. Bevin is not going to win, so it's a smart move on the NRA's part. Going against the GOP Senate leader, only for him to inevitably win, would be foolish. He'd probably tell NRA lobbyists to get lost after that. 2. Not one sitting U.S. House or U.S. Senate Republican has endorsed Bevin. Not one. Including "brave" favorites like Paul, Cruz and Lee.

... The NRA is part of the business as usual political machine in Washington, what more can I say.

So the NRA is either clueless or apathetic about Congress's constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers. Is that the reality?

This is why the NRA can kiss my big white butt. They also endorsed that linguini-spined RINO Mike Simpson in ID-2. My membership dollars go to the GOA, and I will find another worthy group, like the JPFO or SAF to get the money I used to send to the NRA.

Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!

"The NRA is part of the business as usual political machine in Washington..."

The NRA will always support the pro-gun incumbent.
They don't care about the debt, homosexual marriage, abortion, homeschool issues, etc.
Their ONLY focus is gun rights.
That's how they stay powerful and relevant - you don't have to like it, it just is.

The NRA looks at one thing only; gun rights. This has led to them endorsing some candidates that have been bad on all other issues.
