Koch-style Political Ads; Are these type effective? (Vanity)

I appreciate the Koch Brothers financing political ads against the Dems who voted for ObamaCare. However, I'm taking an informal poll here. Tell me FReepers; if you think ads that end like this are effective: "Call her today, and tell her to stop spending taxpayers' money on ObamaCare." Is this effective or should the ad encourage voters to just get rid of her? They are running similar ads against Braley in Iowa and Udall in Colorado that say e.g. : "Tell Bruce Braley to stand with Iowa and stop supporting ObamaCare." Is that cool, or should it say: "Iowans, don't send Bruce Braley to the United States Senate; send him home."

To view the ad, click on the source, or cut and paste.

Give me your opinion please.

I am pretty sure PACs are limited in their verbiage from advocating for or against candidates. That leaves them with “Tell so and so to...” language, and prohibits “Vote the bastard out because...” ads.

It’s crap !!!

It attempts to “Tell” people what to think.

It’s negative, and therefore is in opposition, it has an agenda that is trying to sell something. Something that has an agenda and something that is trying to “sell” me something will be rejected as most people sense this.

I could take that video and reword the narrative in a way that would actually inspire people to the reject the authority of 0bamacare and embrace ones self.

We were discussing the Willie Nelson song: “The Party’s Over”. I loved Doris Day, but I never heard of that song.

It’s negative? Not so sure about that. It’s truthful and factual. But, if it is negative, even though people claim to hate negtive ads, political operatives will tell you: NEGATIVE ADS WORK. (That’s why campaigns and PACs keep running them.)

“...the correct lyrics to “THE PARTY’S OVER” are:
“Call it a night; the party’s over....”
“... We were discussing the Willie Nelson song ...”
-
Well, you are still wrong...
Willie Nelson’s song by the name name from 1967:
“Turn Out The Lights, The Party’s Over”

What you never heard Doris Day sing this one?

Any sexual frustration you speak of was not even a part of my question, except as created by you in your own mind. In fact look over the replies to me stating that others had the same question.

What is a "Koch style ad"? Please answer that and maybe tell us what it means because others question it also.

And, note that again there was no sexual issue except that which you bring up which probably means you have a sexual frustration issue with your own posting. So if you reply back to this please keep both hands on the keyboard. This may serve to reduce any tension you have,

You jumped in with your snippy comments:

Koch Style ad? Just what is that? Is it the lighting, the tone of the announcers voice? They are at least bringing attention to the issue... or is that your problem with the ad?
Everyone has a voice and they just have the money to hold the feet of the left to the heat. Howe about you?

If you really wanted to know what I meant by a "Koch-style ad", you could have ended your comments after the first seven (7) words. But, to answer your question: A "Koch-style Ad" is the ones that always end with: "Call Senator __________ and tell him/her to stand with the people of (Name of State) and against ObamaCare."
