Syria's opposition fighters have been supplied with U.S.-made anti-tank missiles, the first time a major American weapons system has appeared in rebel hands.
It is unclear how the rebels obtained the wire-guided missiles, which are capable of penetrating heavy armor and fortifications and are standard in the U.S. military arsenal. The United States has sold them in the past to Turkey, among other countries, and the Pentagon approved the sale of 15,000 of the weapons to Saudi Arabia in December. Both countries aid Syrian opposition groups.
U.S. officials declined to discuss the origin of the weapons but did not dispute that the rebels have them.

If even THAT much... There simply seems to be no educating Americans as to why this is a dangerous development. They've forgotten about 9/11 and have resumed their long holiday from history.

Call your Congressman and request their position on arming Al Qaeda with American weapons. Let them know how you feel about it.
1. Both sides in that war are American haters and will do anything to destroy the US and any American - that is a given.
2. Some of those weapons will be transferred to another place in the world where they can accomplish #1.
3. Whoever caused that sale to happen has aided an enemy and is a traitor - whether an Obama appointee at DOD or in the Senate.

The missiles took the scenic route: Benghazi (Libya), Turkey, Syria. That removes the “un” from unclear.
I think it’s too late for the rebels.
