A California man is suing McDonald’s for 1.5 million dollar because he only received one napkin with his meal. The man claims to have emailed the general manager of the restaurant to complain but was not satisfied with the free food they offered him to make him happy.

I’ve noticed lately that many restaurants only give you one napkin.

Maybe the extra napkins we used to get are going to Venezuela to use for toilet paper.

RE :”He states he is now not able to work because of “undue mental anguish” that he suffered from the napkin incident and has filed the lawsuit to recoup damages.”

Subway always tries to be cheap on the add-ons.
I always have to ask them for more of each.

Doesn't McDs put the napkins out on display to grab?

Another lawsuit from lawyers who will get rich by saying you were damaged from drugs, tobacco, automobiles, hot coffee, defective foot ware and now no napkins...

Soon lawyers will sue people if they don't sue someone!!

One of the reasons consumer items are expensive in the US is precisely because of shit like this. Every lawsuit, judgement, and the cost of litigation gets wrapped up into your purchase.

When you buy a meal, you are paying for a burger, fries, and coke (or whatever). The price never specifies that you also get a napkin or even a straw; those are free throw-ins, a customer courtesy.

I think it's becoming more of a problem that certain customers view the napkins at fast food joints as grab and go freesh!t, one less thing they need to buy for themselves.

A few months back there was an actual article on Yahoo about tips for the budget-conscious - essentially, what to pilfer from eateries to use at home, e.g. stir sticks, napkins, salt/pepper/sugar packets.

The comments ripped up the author and Yahoo for brazenly promoting theft. Whoever wrote it had the attitude that hey, it's freely available on the tables, what difference does it make. Just the type that would be for Obamacare.

"even money bet on his political affiliation."

Reminds me of a bit from Gilligan's Island. Thurston Howell and Gilligan are in the jungle at night, when they come across a group of grass-skirted natives dancing around a fire. As they hide behind some trees, the dialogue is:

Gilligan: Mr. Howell, do you think they're dangerous?

Mr. Howell: I don't know, Gilligan, but I'm sure they're not Republicans.

Just another example of the somthin’-for-nothin’ crowd. They spend every minute of every day finding ways to leech from others, with tens of thousands of ‘John Edwards’ types just a phone call away to make it happen.

I was in a parking lot and TOUCHED a bumper of another vehicle(someone could have been standing between them and it wouldn’t have hurt them). There was absolutely no damage what so ever to their car, but they were on the phone to the police, insurance, and whoever the hell they could think of within 30 seconds of it happening. You’d think I had just ran over their kid or something. A passenger even got out holding his neck. LOL

I believe they thought they’d won the lottery or something. Their tone changed completely as soon as I started taking pictures of the non-damage. I sent the pics to my insurance. I hope they don’t pay those losers a dime, but they probably will. Probably cheaper for the insurance to buy them a new bumper than to litigate, and easier to jack up my premiums(forever) to compensate for their payout.
