Private plane, I presume registered in trust with the owner unknown. AKA delivery system. Post 911, it would seem reasonable the owners of aircraft be known.
Apparently we are about to be invaded by a cloud of Cessnas and Pipers.
Sanctions are just one more tool of crony capitalists.
The state department gives out 10s of thousands of waivers to the “right people”.
In another article, it quoted an Iranian source as saying that the plane was registered to the gov’t of Ghana, and Ghana’s president’s brother was on board the plane on a business trip with others.
Ghana’s president, John Maham denied that his brother was on board, but that it was his brother’s company plane, which is a mining contracting firm.
Been through this already.
The plane is leased to a company called Engineers and Planners, based in Accra, the capital of Ghana.
The company’s CEO is Ibrahim Mahama, a brother of President John Dramani Mahama.

I’m actually surprised at how readily available aircraft ownership details are available tot he public. I live in an area where we have a lot of low-flying private aircraft. I’ll often photograph them and then go on to the FAA site to ID them, mainly for the aircraft-type in my case, but the ownership and contact details are all there.

The USAid arm of the state department gave $97.8 million to Ghana in 2012, the plane was bought and registered in 2013.
So how much of US taxpayer money funded the purchase ($42 million) of that stnking plane?

According to the article, apparently not.
Because of tax and liability laws, and the public availability of FAA data, many people choose to register their aircraft through an LLC shell entity. The most prevalent states for those registrations seem to be Delaware and Nevada.
My guess would be that is where all this heroin is coming from. US registered planes are a lot less suspicious. Banks are openly laundering drug money these days, and a private bank would have no problem collaborating. Iran has a big heroin abuse problem because there is a large supply.
The death reports appear to be higher in the midwest, especially Chicago, and NY. Iran paid for Chavez’ campaign and he turned Venezuela into the biggest distributor of the world using the country’s military planes. Recently cocaine seizures from Venezuela have included heroin. These are reports thatmI have read from EU. The US seems to be completely silent about Venezuela’s actions.
Make no mistake the Muslim brotherhood, working along with the loaded cartels, are alive and well in South America and Africa. Our Wall Street banks are openly laundering their money, and funding their selected politicos.
