The Russian Foreign Minister says the US should take responsibility for those whom they put in power instead issuing ultimatums to Moscow.
"Before giving us ultimatums, demanding that we fulfill demands within two or three days with the threat of sanctions, we would urgently call on our American partners to fully accept responsibility for those who they brought to power, said Lavrov during a press conference with his colleague from Mozambique, Oldemiro Baloi.
All attempts to isolate Russia will lead to a dead end because Russia is "a big, independent power that knows what it wants," he added
(snip) Meanwhile, Lavrov also said that the Kiev coup-appointed government has violated the Geneva agreements of April 17, after the four-sided talks between the EU, the US, Russia and Ukraine.
The Pravy Sektor (Right Sector) group has been running the show in the streets of central and western Ukraine and is trying to affect eastern regions, he said, adding that buildings in Kiev seized by the protesters havent been freed and the streets havent been cleared.

The Kremlin propagandist has finally stepped into the astral plane. When they do that, I know I’ve done well.
Its total bullshit and lies...not that Obungu cares. He could care less what goes on among white people just so long as they self destroy via wars etc and vote democrat
The only antidote is more Russian propaganda, apparently. Gotta’ make the rubes understand that Russia is the victim of all this . . . .
Care to direct me to any U.S. Media sources that you would find acceptable, containing this quote??
US Media has pretty much buried any discussion of Ukraine, past the approved Administration line.
Tcrlaf cannot find anything from Lord Haw Haw or Tokyo rose, so he must make do with today's version of comedy.
The tarpit you appear to fall into, with some regularity, is claiming that what Kerry says is propaganda, and what Lavrov says is truth.
I’m sure it’d be impossible for the Ukrainian people to come up with an idea like, say, that they’d like to be free of crude Russian chauvinism and benighted Putinism.
And we all know why Putin’s puppet Yanukovich balked at signing the agreement he’d negotiated. His boss, Putin, told him not to sign it. That’s how gangster statesmen do things. They made Yanukovich an offer he couldn’t refuse. Not surprisingly, the Ukrainians took exception.
“Ukraine not weak!”
But much to the consternation of Kramer and Newman, it is.
No, Victoria Nuland of the US State Department is on video asserting proudly that the US has spent $5 billion on euphemistically “helping Ukraine realize its European aspirations”.
Ukraine has a lot of trade with Russia and other CIS countries, it’s not gangster, it’s simple economics.
Those trading partners need to get paid.
As Ukraine moves toward joining the EU, at each step it cedes more control of it’s budget, economy, etc.
Ceding that much control puts payment to non-EU trading partners at risk.
The US/EU is obviously trying to isolate Ukraine from all other non-US/EU countries; if the agreement allowed Ukraine to trade AS UKRAINE DETERMINES, and still have a beneficial trade relationship with the EU, Ukraine would have already signed.
EU wants exclusivity and power that Ukraine is going to find difficult to give up.
In comparison we have spent as much money or more on other former Soviet states, under the FREEDOM Support Act. Most of that money is spent on security in tandem with the government, according to the Bush Administration in 2007.
There is a comprehensive breakdown of where the money has been allocated here:
~RT has indeed been openly discredited as a propaganda outlet for the Kremlin (though it was known before hand, at least by people who cared to wonder, that it was indeed Kremlin controlled, as is a lot of media in Russia). FR shouldn’t even tolerate its posting. ~
Nobody in a sane mind would argue that RT is biased in it’s opinions.
But so does the Western alphabet outlets and some 90% of the whole media nowadays.
On the other hand how can you say you are pro-freedom, yet can’t tolerate media sources you disagree with? What about a freedom of press, speech? Are these outdated concepts for you?
BTW, I’m yet to see as much factual lies in RT as I do in any Western media. As for media opinions it makes perfect sense to refuse any regardless the source, including RT and Fox. If you are an individual and not a sheep in a herd you have to develop your own opinions, using facts and largely ignoring that other people wants you to think.
Politifact is meaningless garbage.
One country spending $5 billion to influence another is significant, even if spread over 20 years.
That still amounts to $250 million on average annually, which could easily pay a labor force of 2,500 employees.
Yes, the Bush administration was also a servant of globalism, as was the Klintoon, and the Bush I.
Yes, it’s all under the guise of “spreading democracy”. They euphemistically name laws “FREEDOM ACT”, “FREE TRADE”, etc., but the might as well name them the unicorn and leprechaun act. Because when you get into the fine print - it’s globalism.
Gubmint partners with NGOs and big money interests in the private sector as well.
is an example of a private sector initiative.
No one that is pro-EU has EVER even tried to refute anything specific on the USUBC website.
Gee, I wonder why.
Cuz it proves that American globalist big money, partnered with the US gubmint, NGOs, etc., has been puttin the moves on Ukraine for 20 years - with BILLIONS of loans, investment, sales, marketing, etc., etc. Arranging borrowing from World Bank, IMF, EBRD, etc., because that money is then spent by the puppet Ukrainian government on buying products and services from Western companies.
It’s all a boondoggle.
Meanwhile - THE UKRANIAN ECONOMY DURING THOSE 20 YEARS HAS BEEN TRASHED.
With BILLIONS coming in as investment capital - WHAT HAPPENED ?
Ukraine is the 3rd largest exporter of grain. HOW CAN THEY BE HUNGRY if you bring in billions in investment ?
CORRUPCION, that’s how.
Right under the noses of all that US STATE DEPARTMENT “”””HELP””””.
What ? The $16 trillion per year US economy ? The Harvard economists ? The thousands of experts at US think tanks ? US EXPERTISE in BATTLING CORRUPTION ?
The US government spent $5 billion - and they just “COULDN’T STOP” the rampant corruption ?
The globalists are pissing on everyone’s legs and telling us it’s raining.
Now, with Ukrainian government debt soaring, what do the globalists in the US and Europe say is NECESSARY ????
They say the Ukrainian government NEEDS TO BORROW BILLIONS MORE.
And CUT those luscious Ukrainian government spending on PESKY little things, like spending on THE UKRAINIAN PEOPLE.
See, they can allocate $350 MILLION FOR MASSIVE CONTRACTING FIRMS TO BUILD ROADS, but no way can they put a chicken in an old lady’s pot.
Oh, and let’s not forget another thing they say needs to be done: RAISE TAXES. From 15% to 20% and 25%.
PAY UP, UKRAINIAN PEOPLE, PAY UP.
Many people now understand - not everyone was born yesterday.
Most folks have woken up and they smell the coffee.
After all the diry secrets that have been reported.
If some still refuse to smell that coffee, it can only mean that they either haven’t done their homework, or they’re working for the elite interests that want Ukraine to submit to EU law and economic and social policy.
Hey, let me know when you defend MSNBC the same way a Russian defends RT.
~Hey, let me know when you defend MSNBC the same way a Russian defends RT.~
Where and when I’m defending RT. It is biased in opinions, that is what I said. And I’m yet to see MSNBC getting bashed as heavily.
I like how the Reds, Paulistas, and other assorted weirdos, say stupid stuff like this and then act all surprised when people stop taking them seriously and only treat them with scorn.
On the other hand how can you say you are pro-freedom, yet cant tolerate media sources you disagree with? What about a freedom of press, speech? Are these outdated concepts for you?
When you treat state propaganda, whether it be Baghdad Bob, or Iranian state run TV, or the Russian one, as "just another news source," you give it legitimacy, as if it is really a legitimate point of view. Propaganda is dangerous because they speak outright lies or half truths designed to manipulate the viewer.
BTW, Im yet to see as much factual lies in RT as I do in any Western media.
It's not so much you "seeing" anything. It's more of what you prefer to see or not see.
Ranting and raving isn’t going to help you out. By the way, the Russkies were paying 80 to a 100 thousand at a time to just single individuals here in the U.S., one of which was working in a socialist newspaper in New York spreading NWO conspiracy theory and communist propaganda. When she was deported, Putin put her to work in a Russian news paper, where Alex Jones still picks up talking points. She went unnoticed at the time. The media was focused on the whore red head who looked pretty. The ‘Ghost stories’ spy ring, I think it was.
Your #54 establishes that we should consider RT as a source, the same way we consider MSNBC. (Ok, I added the last part, but you Russians are funny that way).
