Another Bush Seeks The White House; America’s Response Should Send A Clear Message
Western Journalism ^ | April 23, 2014 | B Christopher Agee

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush reportedly confirmed mounting suspicions that he wants to be the third member of his immediate family to occupy the White House. In a recent appearance at a New York fundraiser, Politico reports that he told attendees he is “thinking about running for president.”

Apparently, a number of the approximately 200 individuals gathered for the event were receptive to the announcement, leading Bush to ask them to “call and tell [his] mom” about the decision.

The politician, however, is a much tougher sell for members of his party overall – especially among those who call themselves conservatives.

A recent Economist/YouGov poll indicates the number of Republicans opposed to a potential Bush candidacy far outweighs those who support him. Only one in four members of the GOP would embrace his presidential bid overall, while a meager 18 percent of self-described conservatives are on board.

In a breakdown of their findings, pollsters indicated the word “moderate” is used often to describe him – both by his supporters and detractors, though obviously in different contexts.

“So is the acronym ‘RINO,’ Republican in name only,” the study found. “’Conservative’ appears hardly at all among those with positive views of Bush, but it is there among those who dislike him.”

I read somewhere that the Bushes prior to Prescott Bush were Democrats, but I never knew that. The Pierces were Democrat too.

http://www.ontheissues.org/Jeb_Bush.htm

I’d vote for him over Mitt “Flip-flop” Romney, or anyone else like him. At least Bush is strong a moral/social issues. Aside from the illegal immagration issue and how to deal with the 11 million already here, i kind of like him. Although this encompasses years of statements, so much could have changed. Whatever the case, i still am hoping for a Santorum/Paul or Perry/Paul ticket.

What is it with all this anti-Bush nonsense? W. was the most conservative pres behind Reagan in the past 100 years; and you’re bashing him? It’s not his fault that looney progessive Dems screwed up his presidency, especially in the latter years.

Well, unfortunately that’s not exactly the case. You see, there was these little thing called the Iraqi War that needs some splay’nin to. Took the very best of the US, our very heart and soul, the priceless, irreplaceable lives of the finest young men, trillions of dollars in cash and just simply handed it over to the Shi’ite Devils of Iraq-Iran.And what do we have to show for it now, today? Not a pittance. Not a nearly figment of a pittance. Maybe that’s why America doesn’t get too overwrought by the weakest, most pusillanimous Bush of all.

Actually, I’m not bashing him. I just made a statement that the country is soured on the Bushes. I blame that a great deal on the press.

I don’t really have a problem with W. I didn’t agree with everything he did...but that is true of all presidents. Especially if they are in office for eight years.

And yet if he gets the nomination we’ll have to endure another election cylce of many FReepers, in their god-like manner, telling us “if you don’t support Jeb you want Hillary” nonsense.

married to a foreigner who used him to become American.

Married to a foreigner who was caught smuggling tens of thousands of dollars worth of designer dresses into the country. Fortunately for Jeb, laws are for little people, not for politicians. He got the charges dropped.

What does his choice of a wife say about his character, his values and his ability to size up people.

The list is long but just today as I once again have to clean gang graffiti off of my elderly parents’ house I am reminded of how that oath breaking fool subverted American immigration law in his quest to grant amnesty to millions of lawbreaking foreign nationals.

Obama didn’t invent the policy of subverting American immigration law. He’s just pouring gas on the fire that Religion of Peace, Jobs Americans Won’t Do, Family Values Don’t Stop at the Rio Grande Bush started.

Given the political climate in PA, I doubt you know what a conservative is. W wasn’t even close. For every one “conservative” issue he was for he had three liberal positions on other things.

He and the GOPe in Congress put us in this mess. Massive increases in overall federal spending. Bailouts, TARP, and trying to shove Amnesty down our throats. Not to mention John Roberts to the SC.

He totally blew the war on terror after the initial starts. Iraq was left to the extremist and he was forced to approve the surge to get security back under control. Afghanistan is a mess. No focus and the rules of engagement were a joke.

And never forget he said, “I had to destroy the free markets to save them”. He destroyed allright but nothing saved. We, the taxpayers, lost $25 billion or more (never trust gov’t figures) to only prop up the UAW.

And you can’t forget the looney progressive GOPe that helped him screw it up.
