BREAKING: Cliven Bundy Responds To Charges Of Racism: ‘The Statement Was Right’
The Right Scoop ^ | 4/24/14

Posted on 04/24/2014 11:40:52 AM PDT by SoFloFreeper

“That’s exactly what I said. I said I’m wondering if they’re better off under government subsidy, and their young women are having the abortions and their young men are in jail, and their older women and their children are standing, sitting out on the cement porch without nothing to do, you know, I’m wondering: Are they happier now under this government subsidy system than they were when they were slaves, and they was able to have their family structure together, and the chickens and garden, and the people had something to do? And so, in my mind I’m wondering, are they better off being slaves, in that sense, or better off being slaves to the United States government, in the sense of the subsidies. I’m wondering. That’s what. And the statement was right. I am wondering.”

Have any of them let the gov’t step in and take their land?

If Mr Bundy was baited...he didn’t stop w/ his opinion of the ‘negro’. After discussing the ‘negro’ and cotton picking, Mr Bundy also discussed Mexicans who come into our country.

And so you think what now about Mr Bundy?

“Now let me talk about the Spanish people,” Bundy said in a new video unearthed by New York magazine, right after he concluded his thoughts on “the Negro.”

“I understand that they come over here against our Constitution and cross our borders,” he says. “But they’re here and they’re people. I worked side-by-side a lot of them. Don’t tell me they don’t work, and don’t tell me they don’t pay taxes. And don’t tell me they don’t have better family structures than most of us white people.”

“When you see those Mexican families, they’re together. They picnic together. They’re spending their time together,” he said. “I’ll tell you, in my way of thinking, they’re awful nice people. We need to have those people join us and be with us.”

But can’t you see, you are missing the bigger point which, to the media, is to sidetrack the real story by highjacking the “thread” which our own FReepers often do right here. The story IS the constitutional violations. Anything else is a distraction from that. The media will go to any lengths to discredit Bundy and serve their government masters, at least until the day the Feds come for their printing presses or whatever newspapers are using now.

If my point isn’t clear you’ll have to excuse me. Mr. Bundy and I are the same age so that might have something to do with it.

21st Century socio-economic slavery, or early 19th Century physical slavery?

Why aren't minorities wondering the same thing too??

Either that or he’s just not that bright. Anyone with any sense at all would know not to say anything similar to what he did anywhere near a reporter. I think he’s enjoying the publicity and attention, and decided everyone needed to know his opinions. Sounds like a guy who loves the sound of his own voice.

“,,Bundy is right in that some of these people merely traded Democrat-owned rural plantations for Democrat-owned urban plantations.”

Can’t blame him for wondering that.

Good thing we don't have a vice-president or president who are like that...

Oh, wait...

Do we conservative hang, draw and quarter Bundy for that? Of course not. We support the free expression of all opinion.

Not so with our "liberal friends".

This is all about Rory Reid's solar farm versus a rancher, with his father finding a pretext to clear title to the land. That's where Fox should keep its focus.

Blacks have improved their position in this country from chattel slaves to government livestock.

people see the word slavery and freak out.
Just about everything he said is true about the lifestyle he described.
It’s of course not all, but it’s something more common than some folks care to admit.

“good man. i wonder what he wonders.”

Me too! Blacks have moved from the one plantation to the other, there is no question of the truth of that statement. The only difference is that on the “Government Plantation,” they don’t have to work and they get “paid” by the taxpayer, whereas in the former they worked and didn’t get paid.

Huh? Nobody deserves to be a slave. Plenty of people deserve to be in prison.

True. But I think the point is this: Imagine if the Great Society Programs were never passed, that government did not have all these programs that destroyed the Black family. Hence, the percentage of blacks in prison would be much, much less.

There likely would have been intact black families and strong parenting. As a result, the vast number of criminals created by the Left's evil programs would not have been realized.

Bundy may not be PC, but the main thrust of his argument was against the evils of government dependency. I did not sense he was being racist at all.

“If anything there aren’t enough young blacks in prison. They get away with far more crimes than whites do.”

Then go ahead and put them all (or almost all) in prison.

Knock yourself out.

In the Caribbean and certain towns in Africa, black kids walk to school in their school uniforms and do their homework instead of murdering the first human being they encounter in order to steal the newest Jordan sneakers off their feet.

If you think blacks are genetically too hot-headed to stay out of jail, then throw them all in jail.

With the right environment (that isn’t a Democrat-run ghetto, aka sewer), perhaps more black kids could become Ben Carson instead of Trayvon.

How does that grab YOU?

He should have been more careful with how he said things, but c’mon, policies and their proponents that have resulted in 6 out of 10 black babies being aborted are not racist, but comparing this slaughter unfavorably to slavery is?

Must admit, he is part of a dying generation...I was just thinking the other day as I reflected on the sad state our country is in and the upcoming generation that will oversee it...those men in the 50’s knew what was to come when they complained about those kids and their rock and roll music...

And I find it funny that just yesterday Diane Sawyer and ABC did a piece on skin color and dolls and which color kids preferred, stigmas, etc. and while they seem to continue to be the ones keeping our differences alive...they cannot have a true discussion about race in this country f it’s not to their liking.

While I can’t see a big difference between how a black family could fare well under slavery, they aren’t faring well today, neither.

We’ve all become slaves to the system...challenging it was why so many were supportive and intrigued with the Bundy story. No more Wacos and Ruby Ridges going forward...there will be battles, imo.

Telling people that it is wrong to make statements that try to put slavery in a positive light is not reacting to a Lefty Racism whistle. It is simply pointing out the obvious stupidity of that belief. Slavery was a terrible stain on the history of this country and lead to untold suffering which all of the people of this nation are still paying for.

The current condition of many Blacks is indeed caused by a new form of slavery. The differences being that at least now Blacks can break away from this slavery if they are willing to do so.

Bundy was a jerk for trying to defend slavery as being a system in which Blacks were better off when compared to their lives today.

If you don’t get that the buying and selling of human beings was a great wrong and that people are not chattel than you need to stop reacting to the “If he’s against big government he must be good” whistle.

Cliven has opened up the national family secret, that we all think many Blacks are hopelessly living on the democrat plantation. No one talks about it. Maybe there will be some real discussion now. I'd be curious to hear what Allen West and Ben Carson think. .

You know you're over the target. . .

Slavery in the United States will one day be looked upon as the best thing ever to happen to the black race. It was their key to the door of freedom and independence, and a seat at the table of the modern world. It was also infinitely better than being killed by the tribe that captured you rather than being sold to the white man at the dock. Those were the only two choices back then.

That's your interpretation of Bundy's remarks, which is not Bundy's remarks.

I'm tired of being Big Government's chattel, aren't you?

I've learned to ignore "dog whistles". You should try training yourself to ignore them.
