Iam sick of not being able to speak our minds on this are other matters, I have a lot of Southern friends who feel this same way and are not good with words. They do not have a raciest bone in their body, just telling it like it is. The duck and run bunch are already running, watch the video He is just speaking his mind and the Truth hurts. Most people I have heard complain about it are usually raciest that's why they think this is so bad.If he was good enough to support before this, then He still should be. I'm tired of running to hide every time these things come up.

So - the NYT ‘heard’ him say it? Or is this an Alinsky ‘demonize’thing? Stinks of that to me

How exactly did the issue come up?

It was a mistake to say “ the Negro,” and to talk about picking cotton and to wonder aloud about blacks being better off as slaves.

On the other hand, when I drive past Altgeld Gardens on the southside of Chicago —Obama’s old stomping grounds from his community organizing days — I see the same thing Bundy saw in North Las Vegas.

def’n: racism is an intentional, purposeful difference in treatment of two individuals based soley on superficial, outward racial characteristics (e.g., skin color).

and, mr hannity and his apologists, exactly how does mr bundy’s rhetorical question pointing out the similarity in the gov’t’s current enslavement of blacks via entitlement with it’s previous enslavement via law constitute a difference or even a belief in the rightness of differential treatment between himself and blacks (or any other race)? the logic or reason of mr. hannity’s position eludes me.

in fact, it seems to me that mr. bundy is rightly pointing out that it is the leftist that is the real racist, continuing to purpose and execute his statist brand of racism via institutionalization of gov’t dependence targeted at various racial and ethnic groups.

Bundy’s racist comments will lose him most of his public support.

Dumb! Real dumb.

Bundy screwed up PR Rule #1: When you’re ahead in the polls, don’t go all stupid and off-topic during a live recording.

Before today, the news didn’t want to report on this, now they will. Now they will.

Pretty sure Hannity's ego makes him lurk the threads with his name, so:
Full Clip Of Cliven Bundy’s Non-Racist, Pro-Black, Pro-Mexican, Anti-Government Remarks Vs. NYTimes’ Deceptively Edited Version

I can't believe all these oh-so-smart talking heads didn't wait at least 24 hours to make sure it had been reported accurately.

I’ve read Mr Bundy’s statement. I agree with him.
Mr Bundy is not a racist. The government is.

If the government cared anything about the negros, they would have helped them be productive people instead of being stoop sitters, baby makers and gang members.

Truth is, it is the government who hates blacks.

Meanwhile, from another Nevada resident:

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) apologized today for referring to President Barack Obama as "light skinned" and "with no Negro dialect" in private conversations during the 2008 presidential campaign. "I deeply regret using such a poor choice of words," said Reid in a statement. "I sincerely apologize for offending any and all Americans, especially African Americans for my improper comments."

Referring to the above and after apologizing for having said it:

Harry Reid: I'm Not Going To Dwell On Race-Based Comments

We need to ignore Bundy's comments.....focusing on them is exactly what Dingy Harry, liberals, the MSM and Obama want us to do. This isn't about that.

The problem that I see with slavery discussion concerning Bundy is the following. Since none of us are actually eyewitness to slavery, we've inadvertently let Hollywood define the slavery experience for us. And although there is unrefutable evidence of the inhumane cruelty of slavery as evidenced by photos from that period, please note the following.

Thomas Jefferson was born into a slave-owning family and inherited the slaves at 11 when his father passed away. And while Jefferson was against slavery, he kept the slaves for their protection, blacks probably not having 2nd Amendment protections at a time when you didn't leave the house without a gun; the whole country was wild, wild west.

Thomas Jefferson and slavery

Regarding Bundy, I think that the bottom line is that liberals are using using the Hollywood slavery stereotype to attack Bundy and conservatives. After all, as noted by Bundy, I think that even slavery was arguably better than being in prison, a disproportionate percentage of blacks now in prison if I understand correctly.

Bundy is undoubtedly a good rancher, but naive, unsophisticated and very ignorant of the ways of the larger world, namely the political attack-dog world.

I would hold my breath every time he was put on camera...he was always closely edging on disaster with his short clips on TV....but he escaped.

This time he expounded at length, and he didn't escape.

He blew the whole gift placed right in his hands.....and in OUR hands. I want to commit hairy-scary, dang it all!

I’m a conservative, I stopped listening to Sean when they kicked the psycho leftist off the evening show. I don’t accept Sean’s brand of conservatism, he’s no different than the establishment in power today!

Bundy's remarks on "Negro" families were similar to ideas contained in "The Negro Family: The Case For National Action (the 1965 Moynihan Report) was written by Assistant Secretary of Labor Daniel Patrick Moynihan, a sociologist and later U.S. Senator." [Democrat]

Both expressed concern about the destruction of black families. "Negro" is now an archaic term, except from the mouths of the likes of Harry Reid.

From Wiki:
Moynihan's research of Labor Department data demonstrated that even as fewer people were unemployed, more people were joining the welfare rolls. These recipients were families with children but only one parent (almost invariably the mother). The laws at that time permitted such families to receive welfare payments in certain parts of the United States.

Moynihan's report[4] fueled a debate over the proper course for government to take with regard to the economic underclass, especially blacks. Critics on the left attacked it as "blaming the victim",[5] a slogan coined by psychologist William Ryan.[6] Some suggested that Moynihan was propagating the views of racists[7] because much of the press coverage of the report focused on the discussion of children being born out of wedlock. Despite Moynihan's warnings, the Aid to Families with Dependent Children (AFDC) program included rules for payments only if the "Man [was] out of the house."[citation needed] Critics said that the nation was paying poor women to throw their husbands out of the house. Moynihan supported Richard Nixon's idea of a Guaranteed Annual Income (GAI). Daniel Patrick Moynihan had significant discussions concerning a Basic Income Guarantee with Russell B. Long and Louis O. Kelso.

All Bundy stated was the basic theory that

If you give a man a fish,

he will soon be hungry,

but if you teach a man how to fish,

he will feed himself for life.

That rule works regardless of the race.

Oh, and by the way.

They will soon be hungry.

ATTENTION!!! There NEEDS to be a PR CZAR in the Conservative movement that travels around the country to advise ranchers, plumbers, neophyte congressional wannabe SCHMUCKS like Todd Akin, Duck Dynasty-ers, etc. on what to say and do, and when to say and do it.

Some media weasel probably asked bunny about blacks, and he went off, because he is not media savvy, and although right on his ranch issue, 68% a dope and a doofus.

I nominate myself for this position. I will need to be funded. If someone can call the evil Koch brothers for me, that would be appreciated.

And these talk radio types need to be proactive, too. Beck interviewed him, Hannity interviewed him...how about during the commercial break one of them tells him NOT to discuss "negroes" or "the gays" ?

I bet the militia is a group of people who are also sick of the race card being played when anyone says a “code word” that might offend blacks. If Al Shrapnel shows up, I doubt they lay down their arms and apologize.
