I don’t understand why Bundy felt compelled to make these comments. He had a lot of public support on his side. Didn’t it occur to him that he was handing his enemies the perfect weapon that could be used to destroy whatever credibility he had?
I said at the very beginning, that while my knee-jerk is to defend this guy, why on Earth he doesn’t think he has to pay his own way like everyone else is beyond me. That is straight LibTard.
And putting aside the Fed’s overreach for a moment, this was not the battle to pick. This was not the guy to defend. So now what do we have? We are saddled with a deadbeat who they are going to scream “look at the Tea Party bigot” all the way through the Election.
If these were his lands and he paid like everyone else, I’d be right by this guy’s side. But hes a deadbeat and may, indeed, be a bigot.

Notice how vociferous a conservative must denounce anyone who is perceived to be conservative and racist. In America today, there is nothing more damning than to be called a racist. So, Hannity couldn’t simply say it was a stupid remark. He had to say it was disgusting beyond words. This is to put as much distance between himself and Bundy as possible.
Not that I support it, but it is not illegal to be racist. Yet.
The feds won't lose this; they never do. Bundy will have to pay and keep paying until he stops grazing his cattle on federal property. What's so hard to understand about that?

I was raised on a ranch miles from anywhere-even today, there are plenty of people who are voluntary hermits of all ages who retreat from the world-Bundy is probably one of those. I live in BF Egypt now, but it is in-touch and far more civilized than where Bundy lives. People like that do not know or care very much about the outside world other than what affects them directly-I’m sure we have all known someone who retreated and became a hermit, happily out of touch and out of time.
That said, people who don’t keep up with the world also need handlers to protect them when talking to outsiders, just as if they were living in the Amazon jungles-and for the same reasons...
So, where’s the “racist” part? I played the video over and over again thinking I had missed something, but there just wasn’t anything.
As I understand it, the NYT is supposed to be publishing a retraction regarding their article, but the damage has already been done.
