John McCain to host Hillary Clinton in Sedona, Ariz.
The Washington Post's Post Politics ^ | April 24, 2014 | Philip Rucker

Since leaving the State Department last year, Hillary Rodham Clinton has racked up scores of accolades and appeared on many a big stage. Still, it might come as a surprise that a past Republican presidential nominee -- specifically, the one who is among the loudest critics of Clinton's handling of the Benghazi terrorist attacks -- would invite her to his desert retreat for a lofty conversation about leadership values.

This is precisely what Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) has done.

Clinton, a prospective 2016 Democratic presidential candidate, will appear on stage Saturday with McCain at the Sedona Forum, an annual ideas festival hosted by the McCain Institute for International Leadership at Arizona State University. Clinton is among the national and international business leaders, philanthropists and public figures appearing at the gathering, held in Sedona, the tony red-rocks oasis in Arizona's Verde Valley.

In a statement released Thursday, McCain called Clinton "my friend" and praised her public service career.

"From her years of service as first lady, in the U.S. Senate and the State Department, one would be hard-pressed to find a leader with Secretary Clinton's informed perspective on the many challenges facing America across the globe," McCain said....

I would not be surprised that after the 2014 mid terms are over, to see McCain join the official democrat party out of spite. Like Arlen Specter did.

Everyone here is so concerned about what we do causing a “split” in the GOP, but the split has already happened.

It’s quite clear to me, and I hope to at least some FReepers, that if Jeb Bush, Chris Christie, or (possibly) Mitt Romney are denied the nomination by conservative votes in the primaries, they are quite prepared to endorse HRC, or even to share a ticket with her.

The Bush Crime Family has made it quite clear that HRC is acceptable to them. I bet she’s a lot MORE acceptable to them than some “slutty flight attendant”.

So, as I see it, the choices are to split the party now, proactively at a time of our choosing leaving enough time to campaign and to explain why, or to allow the split to take place at the convention (assuming we capture it) on a national stage with the MSM writing the story line (”pro-slavery rapists capture GOP, Bush and McCain agree to endorse national unity ticket of Clinton/Christie to save the nation”).

Does this mean that Juan McLame made the short list of potential VP candidates to run with Cankles?

No.

It means she's already approached Jeb Bush and Chris Christie.

He is, quite literally, certifiably insane. That’s the only explanation for him.

Okay, I'll bite. What has she accomplished? Name just one thing.

She's a member of the Ruling Class. Accomplishments and merit are irrelevant.

Must have something to do with the AZ sun and young(er) wives.

Didn’t Barry Goldwater go ‘off the deep end’ after his ‘retirement’?

McCain is either jockeying for a cabinet position in Hillary’s administration, or he’s sharing some confidential information about her possible opponents.

The two of them should go over to the Phoenix VA & straighten them out.

Good old McCain. Always one to make a member of the GOP ashamed we voted for this old clown.

To have such a place as Sedona soiled by the likes of these two disturbs me to no end.

Sedona has been a tree-hugging, rock-licking, wacko-liberal haven for decades now.

I wonder if he is angling to be her VP choice? I would not put it past him. :(

I'd guess he's after SecDef. It probably galls him no end that Hagel - a sergeant! - gets to run the Defense Dept when he, John McCain, a captain and son and grandson of admirals, must content himself with being on a mere armed services committee - and lots of Sunday morning talk shows.

I generally despise both of them.

But then it struck me...at least WJ Clinton and GHW Bush and Reagan knew how to talk to people across the aisle. It wasn’t always a zero sum game with them.

The fact that our country is so divided is the thing that will ultimately bring us down. If we learned to compromise once in a while, the outcomes would be better for all involved.

But, the animus has gotten to the point where one side cannot accept the other side winning. At anything. About anything. We have turned into feuding factions, acting out of revenge and trying to crush our opposition.

Until that stops, we are dead, kaput, finis, done-for.

Hopefully, in two years we can elect some people who have brains, convictions, and a moral base that allows them to make incremental gains—because winning it all will never happen again.

That's not it at all. John McCrazy's FBI file is one Hillary kept out of the 1000 or so she snooped thru. She knows a useful Idiot when she sees one. It helps when you have evidence of either Corruption or Collaboration with the enemy... I am sure that File has overwhelming proof of both.
