Tea party leader warns: John Boehner supports amnesty

The leader of a tea party group warned Friday that House GOP leaders will cave to Democrats on the issue of immigration by signing off on a proposal that includes a “suicidal leap for amnesty.”

Judson Phillips, of Tea Party Nation, predicted in a fundraising email that House Speaker John Boehner and House Majority Leader Eric Cantor will cut a deal with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Nevada Democrat, that will legalize “between thirty and forty million” illegal immigrants and doom the GOP over the long run.

“If the Republicans sell us out on amnesty, it is game over for liberty in America,” said Mr. Phillips, who also writes a column for the Communities section of The Washington Times.

The comments came after Mr. Boehner, Ohio Republican, mocked his fellow Republicans reluctance to embrace immigration reform during an appearance a rotary club in his home congressional district.

“Here’s the attitude: ‘Ohhhh, don’t make me do this. Ohhhh, this is too hard,’ ” Mr. Boehner said in a whiny voice. “We get elected to make choices. We get elected to solve problems, and it’s remarkable to me how many of my colleagues just don’t want to,” adding that “They’ll take the path of least resistance.”

Mr. Phillips said Republicans should have learned a lesson from the 1986 immigration bill passed under former President Ronald Reagan, which changed the makeup of the electorate.

“California went blue and has never voted Republican again,” he said. “The Democrats have a supermajority in that state because of Amnesty. The Democrats know this and are gloating that Boehner and the Republicans will give them a supermajority in national politics.”

Replace Boehner.

Now.

We have an entire political party, sold out. We need to get back our political party. And American jobs.

The GOP is completely sold out at the moment. Time to take it back.

That must start, at the top.

The American people don’t want more illegals made into citizens.

When will this end Boehner? When all the poor in the world are living in the US?

I wish I had confidence that Boehner will lose in the primary.

Politics makes strange bedfellows.

The Tea Party's natural allies in this fight are working African-Americans. The illegals (and let's face it, legals) that are admitted in staggering (what ho, hundred million doesn't stagger you?) numbers have already removed Negroes from their top'o'the minority heap, and continues to throw them out of work to the extent that in the 'hood ZIP codes the unemployment rate is often over 40%.

Furthermore, in their rush to get the illegals voting, the Democrats have cut ... and keep cutting them ... an evermore generous slice of every freebiegoodie pie. To service these

Time for some tough, painful maybe, talk to African-American voters. If we can get 10-12%...please God... of'em to wake TF up into something resembling enlightened self-interest, we got us an election. Some of the non-Trayvon types out there must ... damn it... have some pride left.

Intolerable situation: The Democrats use the African-Americans to steal votes that are stealing from the African-Americans. Our job: make a few of'em see that.

Amnesty is a done deal. The only question is timing to give as much political cover for the GOP in the upcoming election. You know the Anti-Amnesty battle is lost when supposed Tea Party stalwart Trey Gowdy support immigration reform.

This was my old hometown where he gave this speech. I am absolutely livid over this. I lived there since I was a young boy, now overrun with illegals. I checked his home county jail statistics, out of 201 people jailed, 28 were hold for ice and this has been going on for years. 14% illegals out of this sample alone. The sheriff has made a career out of this too.

The one type of law our ‘dear leaders’ read before they pass is laws that cover protecting their own 'seats'. It's almost impossible to run against an incumbent.

GOP and Democrats alike know how to protect themselves... and their friends. They don't seem to give a damn about the people of this country. I assume they justify their grandiosely by 'giving to the poor' or their illusion of the poor.

Boehner will serve as long as he wants to... the system is rigged to keep the lowlifes in office. If I was stealing from people and still wanted to look good I guess I'd make a big deal of my 'charitable giving' too. Of course these lowlifes who represent us 'give' our money - not their own. And they give citizenship which is not theirs to give.

It's no wonder so many people are disgusted with the people who work in DC...

Rand Paul's immigration speech
...The Republican Party must embrace more legal immigration.

Unfortunately, like many of the major debates in Washington, immigration has become a stalemate-where both sides are imprisoned by their own rhetoric or attachment to sacred cows that prevent the possibility of a balanced solution.

Immigration Reform will not occur until Conservative Republicans, like myself, become part of the solution. I am here today to begin that conversation.

Let's start that conversation by acknowledging we aren't going to deport 12 million illegal immigrants.

If you wish to work, if you wish to live and work in America, then we will find a place for you...

This is where prudence, compassion and thrift all point us toward the same goal: bringing these workers out of the shadows and into being taxpaying members of society.

Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers.12 million more people assimilating into society. 12 million more people being productive contributors.

Rand Paul calls on conservatives to embrace immigration reform
Latinos, should be a natural constituency for the party, Paul argued, but "Republicans have pushed them away with harsh rhetoric over immigration." ...he would create a bipartisan panel to determine how many visas should be granted for workers already in the United States and those who might follow... [and the buried lead] "Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers...
