Rand Paul calls for Republican shakeup (after Team Romney meeting)

Rand Paul calls for Republican shakeup
- ‘Evolve, adapt or die’
(after meeting Team Romney yesterday)

"National Republicans — still smarting from Democratic
drubbings in the last two presidential contests
— face a stark scenario of “evolve, adapt or die”
as they plot their next campaign to take back
the Oval Office in 2016, U.S. Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky
told the Herald yesterday in an exclusive interview.

Paul ... said the Republican Party has to rewrite
its standard platform to woo minorities
into a broad coalition that can win national races.

A Tea Party favorite and a former ophthalmologist,
Paul hasn’t been entirely welcomed by his colleagues,
who have blasted him for what they see
as an isolationist stance on national security
and a hands-off approach to the war on drugs.

Added Paul with a smile, “I think debate is healthy.
I prefer it if they don’t call me names.
I hate to be called names.”

I say DIE! Let the Republican Party die already. It's been on life support for twenty years. Let it die, and hope that an actual alternative to huge government leftism might rise in its place.

Failing that, it's seriously time to find another country to live in.

Libertarians are primarily Liberals.

They talk about smaller government, but what it comes down to eventually is always social Liberalism first, fiscal Conservatism later, if we can, eventually, maybe next Tuesday, or not.

Like Liberals, a lot of Libertarians do not understand their own belief system and end up supporting things which they think they oppose.

Liberal Example: Democrat do-gooders who oppose racism support affirmative action, segregated schools (to build self-esteem) and lowered expectations for blacks. This increases racism in the effort to fight racism.

Libertarian Example: Easy immigration, easy drugs, doing more to help minorities -- all of these things end up necessitating a larger welfare state. The people who "oppose big government" support the nanny state as the path to shrink government. It's madness.

It appears Rand Paul went to the Marco Rubio School of how to destroy a run for president - before you even get started.

RETURN TO OUR CONSERVATIVE PRINCIPLES!

It is the ONLY way to WIN!

This crap about “evolving, adapt, or...” is code for “CAVE TO THE ENEMY”!

It is not possible to out liberal a liberal.
Compromising with Satan is only a quicker path to Hell.

In the beginning there was “Right” and “Wrong” and we’ve been compromising in the “Wrong” direction ever since!

Well, then he really needs to go away.
Anyone ponying up to Romney, needs to go away.

Rand has decided to partner with the GOPe for his presidential run, ignoring the party base's dissatisfaction with the current lack of Conservative leadership.

Partnering with losers, great strategy their Rand!

They just don't get it. Minorities, gays, greenies, government leeches, crack whores, environmentalist wackos, ILLEGALS, atheists and other mumbo jumbo groups will NEVER vote Republican.

Stop thinking they will.

They have so long ago lost the will and know how of fighting back with principles and ideas they do what comes naturally, appease and capitulate.

They are willing to go right down to their core beliefs, yank them out and rip them to shreds to do what they know how easiest. One wonders if there were really any solid honest core beliefs there to start with.

Is this the same Team Romney that could not win an election when everything was going against the Democrats? That is like partnering with the Detroit Lions to win the Super Bowl (no offense to Lions fans).

Oh gee Senator Paul, why didn’t we think of that? Let’s just water down the GOP even more. Yeah, what a great plan Rand. Christ, how many times have we done this in the last few election cycles? The American people are desperate for a choice and it isn’t much of one when one party is hard left and the other one is semi left. The more and more I hear from Rand Paul the more I realize this man can’t be the next GOP nominee.

“Why doesn’t Ted Cruz take up that mantle? Today, minorities need to be in the tent. A candidate can no longer win as a “white bread” candidate.”

Cruz could, as he has the base locked down. But I don’t know well-enough if he’s up it. You do need to think a lot like a libertarian to have a chance of reaching today’s youth.

Rand sounds more like an Obama spokesman...

He is asking us to evolve toward gay normalization (like Obama, haha), abortion, large government with small Defense, borderless unsovereignty, a safety net nanny-state where irresponsibility is unquestioningly rewarded for those carrying a race card and bureaucratic corruption across the board.
