After the release of the latest Landrieu campaign commercial, the critics are raving. What an incredible performance from a talented actress!
Louisiana Senator Mary Landrieu has done it again. Elections bring out the best acting from the states 18 year incumbent. Every six years, Mary Landrieu adopts the sympathetic character of a fighter for Louisiana. In reality, she is a liberal Democrat who votes with President Obama and Majority Leader Harry Reid, but, during campaigns, Senator Landrieu convinces voters she is constantly opposing leaders in her own party. The result is that Senator Landrieu wins another term in office, quite a hat trick, since Louisiana is a red Republican state.
In this election, the political environment is especially tough for Senator Landrieu, so she has had to pull out all the stops by recreating a Senate hearing at the Louisiana State Capitol. In the commercial, the Senator was able to improve on her real life performance by fixing the errors, the make-up and the wardrobe. The lighting was perfect, the script was changed and all of the actors performed their roles flawlessly. Now, inquiring minds want to know, did the campaign utilize the states 30% film tax credits on this expensive production?
Unfortunately for Senator Landrieu, this fiction was exposed and now her campaign has been embarrassed by this exercise in political make-believe. It remains to be seen whether voters will see the light in this election or continue to be fooled by the talented performer Mary Landrieu.
In the commercial, the Senator touts her opposition to the Obama administration and her advocacy of the states oil and gas industry. She neglects to mention, however, that she votes with President Obama 97% of the time and on all of the important issues, she is a consistent vote

The worst thing that ever happened with her is that her Democrat Katrina voters were dispersed to parts far removed from Lousiana. (Texas, Miss., Ala, Georgia, Florida et al).
This doesn't matter. They probably vote in both Louisiana and their new state of residence.
Louisiana, if you re-elect that pos, I will personally come down there and f u up
“The worst thing that ever happened with her is that her Democrat Katrina voters were dispersed to parts far removed from Lousiana. (Texas, Miss., Ala, Georgia, Florida et al).”
The sad thing for us is, there have been too many that have returned.
Not all of them. I swear I’ve seen an awful lot of Katrina LA tags in the last couple of years. I think we even still have some ‘refugees’ here on FEMA assistance.
Well, that certainly is a likely probability.
Yeah, but you have to admit that when it comes to this sort of thing she has talent.
Her post-Katrina helicopter tour was legendary.
Larry Sabato was on “Fox & Friends” this morning discussing 4 races where a Democrat incumbent is in trouble, including Landrieu. Sabato tries to project an image of impartiality, but he is a Democrat, and he was hopeful Landrieu would manage to win—he pointed out that she has never won with more than 52% of the vote. It is possible that that race will not be decided until December, and it could determine who has the majority in the Senate (let’s hope that the Democrat losses are larger than that).
Oops—that should have been “where 4 incumbents are in trouble.” One has an “R” after his name (McConnell). The four states were Arkansas, Louisiana, Kentucky, and North Carolina.
They do that here in Atlanta. When there are New Orleans municipal or Louisiana state elections, they actually set up polling places here in Atlanta for former Louisiana residents who choose not to return to New Orleans.
