Report: Wall Street Republicans Prefer Hillary over Ted Cruz, Rand Paul
Breitbart's Big Government ^ | April 28, 2014 | Tony Lee

Posted on 04/28/2014 5:34:24 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

The permanent political class and their donors think a Jeb Bush vs. Hillary Clinton battle in 2016 would be a win-win scenario, and many Republican Wall Street donors would rather have Clinton in the White House than Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) or Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY).

According to a Politico report, "the darkest secret in the big money world of the Republican coastal elite is that the most palatable alternative to a nominee such as Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas or Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky would be Clinton."

“If it turns out to be Jeb versus Hillary we would love that and either outcome would be fine,” a Wall Street donor told the publication. “We could live with either one. Jeb versus Joe Biden would also be fine. It’s Rand Paul or Ted Cruz versus someone like Elizabeth Warren that would be everybody’s worst nightmare.”

Fearing "heavy blowback," no one would go on the record in an article that tries to set the establishment narrative that Jeb Bush should get support because Hillary would have an easier road to the White House if a conservative candidate won the nomination in 2016.

Other Wall Street Republicans have said there would not be any "panic" with Hillary Clinton...

Is anyone really surprised about this? The Dems have been Wall Street’s best friends over the past 20 years!

> Bob Schieffer: Romney May Run if Jeb Bush Doesn’t

AGH! That’s the worst thing I’ve heard all day, and I’ve had a rough day.

This is Politico dividing and conquering with a made up report.

I will make up my own mind with absolutely no input from Politico no matter what "report" they dream up.

So far, I like Cruz/Paul or vice versa.

He may be a black sheep, but he’s a member of the tribe.

Can u imagine Jeb winding up in 6th/7th place after the first primary?

His papa finished 3rd in the Iowa caucus (beind Dole and Pat Robertson) as a sitting VP under Reagan!

I had hoped that the GOP would see the light once they hit rock bottom. That was 2 elections ago. They just started digging and have been ever since.

I’d be happy to see Mike Pence enter the race.. if he, Cruz or any other conservative gains the nomination, the campaign could be run as a populist, anti-Wall Street push.

The Grand Old Party is not so grand anymore.

It is full of people that could give a damn less about the freedoms that has made it strong.

They would rather sell it down the river for the like of the Hilderbeast instead of doing what is morally right.

To hell with these people and the GOPe. Bring on a third party candidate, morally and constitutionally grounded.

We’ve got a $4 TRILLION GOVERNMENT BEAST. The Dept of HHS is alone is a $1 TRILLION waste and threat to our freedoms. Either this unconstitutional government is cut by at least 80% (=$800 billion, still too big but it’s a start) or say bye-bye to America.

Disagree, it’s still better to vote for the most conservative candidate that can (and will win), we just need to make sure that the candidate IS Conservative!~

Well put.

But what BigGov, and BigBiz, lose sight of is - that ALL of their power/money comes from WeThePeople.

Pray that more and more of us remember that, and behave accordingly.
