Does the GOP understand that this is about political annihilation? Burden the poor and minority voter! On what grounds, where’s the proof?

This judge should be impeached and removed.

"judge" Lynn Adelman, Wisconsin Democrat state senator for 20 years, is 74 years old.

He'll be 75 years old in October.

Why is a probably-senile old putz ruling on important cases like this?

I want federal judges to retire in their 60s, like everyone else.

Their mental faculties do NOT improve with age.

We should start refusing to show ID when boarding an airplane - claim we are too poor or ignorant. Works for voting it has to work for air travel, alcohol and tobacco purchases also.

Make a state law that requires ALL citizens to have a state issued photo ID. Then they can never again use the excuse that "they're less likely to have photo IDs".

The judge is a liar.

No way that it’s a violation to document that you live in the area in which you are voting and that you are eligible to vote.

First, that should be done at registration. Then you should have to show ID to document that you are the person on the voter rolls that you claim to be.

In fact, not doing so violates my constitutional right to have my vote count.

If you're incapable of obtaining a photo id, you're incapable of making the kinds of reasoned judgments expected of those who exercise their franchise.

SCOTUS has upheld voter id laws in other states, so I'm not sure why the Wisconsin law has been rejected, other than the usual Democratic Party hackery.

A federal communist judge in Milwaukee has struck down Wisconsin's voter Identification law, saying it unfairly burdens poor and minority voters prevents the Marxist revolution from consolidating totalitarian control.

My understanding is that the USSC has already said a state can demand ID at the booth.

This judge is ruling against USSC precedent on grounds already plowed?

Anyone who wants to go to this Judge’s courtroom needs to show photo ID.

Obviously the Federal Court system is attempting to unfairly burden minorities from access to the Federal Courts.

We should ban all federal facilities from requiring photo ID for entrance into all federal facilities.

It’s just not fair!!!

Then why require a driver’s license. That must also place a burden on the poor and minorities.

Lynn S. Adelman (born October 1, 1939) is a United States federal judge.

Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Adelman received an A.B. from Princeton University in 1961 and an LL.B. from Columbia Law School in 1965. He was a research assistant at Columbia from 1965 to 1966, and a law clerk to attorney Richard H. Kuh in 1966. He was a trial attorney for the Legal Aid Society of Wisconsin from 1967 to 1968, and then entered private practice in Milwaukee in 1968.

Adelman ran for Congress unsuccessfully three times, in 1974 in the general election, and in primaries in 1982 and in 1984 in a special election.[1]

He was a Democratic member of the Wisconsin State Senate from 1977 to 1997.[2]

On September 8, 1997, Adelman was nominated by President Bill Clinton to a seat on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin vacated by Thomas J. Curran. Adelman was confirmed by the United States Senate on November 13, 1997, and received his commission on December 23, 1997.

The real power of a president is appointing judges/justices.
