I am sorry for the attack which you were the victim of.
However, since your Democrat party has done little to nothing to lock up the crazies in this country, my sympathy is tempered by such.
Therefore, here are some truths for you:
Many women in this country do NOT live in gated & guarded communities.
Many women in this country do NOT live with a man or even a roommate.
Many women in this country do NOT live in the city where ‘help’ can arrive in a matter of seconds.
Many women DO live in this country where the sheriff’s deputies can take as long as 40 minutes ++++++ to come to their assistance-—even assuming they can make a call for such assistance.
I personally have lived alone for over 51 years out of the last 56. I have always had a dog which can warn me of an intruder.
I am responsible for my own safety. In the time delay waiting for the deputy, I can be badly hurt or killed by an intruder.
Therefore, I will use whatever weapon I can muster to take care of myself.
When you take away my right to have a gun, you put me and millions of others into immediate danger. Any other kind of weapon requires close order contact. An intruder will have open season on all of us.
I am NOT willing to have YOU make such decisions for my safety.
Please try to enjoy what life you have left to you.
Please also let others like myself make such decisions as we need to to protect ourselves. I am not required to protect myself with a gun, but that should be MY choice.

I have to say this though. For Giffords to survive such a horrendous shooting is nothing short of amazing in biblical proportions.

I guess I’ve been so busy I got the two sets of letters mixed up, it’s a big difference in the two of those...lol Maybe this week things will slow down and I can be more normal...or not. That depends on your idea of normal.
