Shouldn’t cheap, plentiful energy, be the primary solution to ANY climate change, or ANY weather, hot or cold?

“researchers from the University of Delaware traveled to Africa two years ago to search for exemplary chickens,”

So what they are saying is that chickens adapted to hot/dry and hot/wet climates already exist and feed part of the world. If warming were to increase these chickens would have an advantage over temperate climate chickens. If no change occurs, the balance of current chickendom prevails. Problem solved.

EXACTLY !!!

That is one reason why Obama is doing everything he can to eliminate cheap, plentiful energy.

They aren't interested in solving problems, they are interested in using them to gain advantage.

They don't want to solve the imaginary G.W. crisis any more than they want to win the "War On Poverty" or the bogus "War On Women".

They want to keep these issues alive to keep us divided, gain leverage, win elections and steal as much money as possible.

Besides, with the coming ice age, they better prepare for a 1-2 degree DECREASE in temperatures. The idiots misread the plus and minus signs

Yeah,....and a 1.2 degree drop in global temperatures results in an estimated 21% drop in grain production....

No grains...no bread...chickens...beef....and a lot less humans.

Free grant money to anyone who will try to prove global warming taxes to ensue to recover grant money.

Don’t waste that money; put it good use mitigating global warming with a double whammy!

Carbon moderates nuclear reactions, so...

CO^2 can be adsorbed out of the atmosphere, and the O^2 stripped off; then that C can be packed into rockets and sent on slow spiral (low-fuel) orbits to the sun. This gets CO^2 out of the atmosphere, reducing Earth’s fever.

The carbon moderate the sun’s nuclear reactions, reducing solar output. This will also cool Earth’s fever.

if we told our “girls” what you just said, they’d develop a complex, and stop laying.

most breeds live 3 years, select others, up to five years.

we’re running a bit of a retirement home here, as we have a “no kill” policy in effect. Ladies who’ve quit laying after their four hundred or so eggs are kept on as “social advisers” and “community organizers”.

the damn rooster is one lucky SOB as well.

One of my clients was a farmer. They also had 2000 egg laying chickens, replacing 1000 each year. So who got 1000 chickens every year.....Campbells Soups. Because they were still doing this in the early 60s, I figured my kids were eating their chickens.

“Have they lost faith in evolution?”

No they haven’t. In fact, what they are trying to do is speed it up by a factor of a 100,000 times.

Yeah - I was thinking of natural evolution.

1-2 degrees Celsius...

At worst, South Carolina will chickens will be needed in NC, and NC chickens in VA. It's silly to pretend that this is a crisis..

Well, my point was that not only do the researchers believe in evolution, they are trying to take advantage of it and practice it themselves.

Understood.

It all goes back to the idea that they arrogantly think they are more capable than the natural forces that have worked well enough for several billion years to bring us to this point.

Most of the American south (where the weather is already hot) is being over-run by wild pigs.

Maybe they can mate a wild pig with a chicken and produce an animal that African muslims will eat.

That would solve at least two problems right there.

Take a look at GMO crops and tell me that they aren’t having any success.
