Skip to comments.Mission Improbable: Trey Gowdy gets into Benghazi
Posted on 05/05/2014 11:27:23 AM PDT by DallasBiff
Speaker John Boehner and House Republicans have decided to create a select committee to expand their investigation into the Benghazi attacks. Beyond that, nothing is settled. In fact, Republicans may be going on something of a mission improbable to yield new information and turn up new clues in a wide-ranging probe that has already spanned 13 hearings, 25,000 pages of documents and 50 briefings
There are questions about what the select committee will set out to do and what it can actually yield. And the man who will head the committee, South Carolina Republican Trey Gowdy, will be following in the footsteps of no less than eight congressional committees in the House and Senate that have investigated the September 2012 attacks on a U.S. mission in Libya.

Step one: Delay any investigations, say they are premature and a “political witch-hunt”.
Step two: One investigations finally begin, provide as little information as possible. Delay, deny, obfuscate.
If done properly the two steps above should drag things on for about two years.
Step three: “Dude, that was like two years ago!’
Rinse and repeat
These THREE WRITERS of this one article have a point: Just give it up now, Trey Gowdy. Why bother?
I think Fox News should open a Special Benghazi Bureau and do live broadcasts from it every day.

Oh...and Happy Cinco de Mayo everyone ;-)
oh you KNOW it......before long, you will hear the “racism” drum start beating, throw in a few southern lynching references, some toothless hillbilly jokes, Deliverance playing in the background....it’s all the same sewage Libtards will throw at the right in another hilarious attempt to squirm away from what’s coming down the pike......
RAT Media Meme # 2: South Carolina Republican Trey Gowdy, will be following in the footsteps of no less than eight congressional committees in the House and Senate that have investigated the September 2012 attacks on a U.S. mission in Libya.
Yeah, I guess they’re right. There’s no point in investigating this any further.....
I hope Boehner adds Chaffetz and Gohmert to the committee.
And the Dept of Justice will do WHAT?..
America is like “the Matrix” more every day...
i.e. follow the white rabbit.. (with a pancake on it’s head)..
Propagandico strikes again.
What is that supposed to mean? Pelosi staffer.
You forgot one, which I’m sure we’ll see shortly.
Delay, deny, obfuscate, make counter accusations.
Congressional Democrats and White House officials say the Republicans are constantly shifting the goalpost on Benghazi. According to an administration official, Republicans said Obama didnt label the Benghazi attack a terrorist attack, which wasnt entirely accurate. Then Republicans asserted the White House politicized CIA talking points, which turned out not to be true either. At that point, some Republicans suggested the White House and Clinton ordered the Pentagon not to try to rescue Stevens and the other Americans trapped in the Benghazi outpost. That claim did not stand up to scrutiny either.
* Obama used the term terrorism the following day but NOT in regard to Benghazi. Even Candy Crowley had to admit later!
* CIA never used Video Protest in response to Benghazi, only White House advisors
* No military response/rescue happened.
Gowdy’s never lost a case...Hussein is going to be all wee wee’d up.
Will the Democrats ever want to nominate a presidential candidate who isn’t either black or female? I don’t see how they could ever function again without being able to shout out “racism” or “sexism” at the drop of a hat.
Please Trey Gowdy - Make them tell us who gave the order for our forces to stand down that night.
The sound of thousands of democrat sphincters contracting in unison.
RELEASE THE KRAKEN!
HEY MATT...why so slowwwwww... no Gowdy headline on your DRUDGE page yet? Hmmmm...
If a “journalist” takes money from the Democrat party that is trying to cover up crimes against The United States, then that journalist becomes an accessory to those crimes. Witting or unwitting doesn’t matter. It might make a difference in the sentencing. Especially if the journalist provided evidence against the co-conspirators.
