White House Suggests it Won’t Cooperate with Benghazi Panel

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney today indicated the White House will refuse to cooperate with a new House committee tasked with investigating Benghazi.

“We have always cooperated with legitimate oversight,” Carney said this afternoon during the daily White House briefing. Asked whether the panel qualified as “legitimate,” he said: “I think if you look at what even some Republicans have said, it certainly casts doubt on the legitimacy of an effort that is so partisan in nature.”

“You know, at some point, you just have to assume that Republicans will continue this because it feeds a political objective of some sort,” he added. “At the same time you have to ask, ‘What about the American people who want to see Congress work for them?’”

Meanwhile, House Speaker Boehner today announced that Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) will chair the Benghazi committee.

“With four of our countrymen killed at the hands of terrorists, the American people want answers, accountability, and justice,” Boehner said. “Trey Gowdy is as dogged, focused, and serious-minded as they come.”

We’re going to get our country back.

No matter what it takes.

Have to agree with ImNot. This is an multi-faceted issue which is why I’m glad a sharp mind like Gowdy’s is involved.

What we were doing there- There are legal requirements for Embassy’s-Missions- Consulates. Benghazi violates them. Who provided a waiver?
Embassy security guidelines - same Who exactly denied Steven’s request for security?
Arms smuggling - International Laws and Domestic Laws. Also- When did we become allied with Al Queda and the Muslim Brotherhood so as to give them very dangerous weapons (manpaads) .
Coverup - Who violated Congressional subpoenas for Benhazi related
documents?
Conspiracy - Who concocted a story about an internet video? Who ordered an American resident to be arrested for producing it?

Obama said he ordered that whatever could be done to rescue blah blah blah. Who recorded that order and who failed to carry it out?

“Just the fact that he claims to *know* nothing will come of this is suspect. Nobody knows where this will lead - if they say they do, they’re just blowing smoke”
_____________________________________________________

I’d love to be wrong, but don’t believe I am.

I’ll wager this is why Boehner agreed to this House Panel in the first place; he knows nothing is going to come of it.

“People who do nothing but post junk like “nothing will happen, it’s hopeless, all is lost, woe is us” - nothing else - are very suspect.”
____________________________________________________

No, we’ve just seen what’s happened the past 5 years. We’ve observed history.

Sorry, but the only thing that is “suspect” is Boehner agreeing to this House Investigative Panel. Care to tell us where all of Issa’s investigations have led us?

I’d love to be wrong, but don’t believe I am.

It seems my own OCD is not an aberration (that’s a compliment).

Yes, the big picture needs to include all of our involvement in the whole region but I doubt the media will give enough clear information that American voters will understand.

Of course HE COMMITTED A CRIME !
He did NOT have the "Constitutional Authority" to DELEGATE the responsibility to issue a "STAND DOWN" order to Valerie Jarrett, which is exactly what Obama did.
Both Valerie Jarrett and Obama should be locked up in jail right now, and awaiting the maximum punishment for TREASON (up against the wall, facing a firing squad).

Obama didn't have the guts to issue that "Stand Down" order.
He wanted "DENY-ABILITY" and the Democrats COMMUNISTS are doing every thing they can to protect him from the truth being discovered.
They're spinning their credibility into the sewer, and everybody knows it.
Nothing short of punishing him and his commie cronies will do.

After you read all that information, and go to all those links and read them too,
then nothing short of a "Firing Squad" will satisfy us for "just punishment".
Uphold the Constitution!
TREASON IS THE REASON !

Bring it.

Change is in the air. More and more people are realzing the MSM is merely the bitch of the administration and don’t trust it at all. Fewer and fewer people watch the MSM on TV. More and more look for real news elsewhere.

I don’t understand your abject defeatism. Espeecially now when the tide is turning.

Your abject defeatism is duly noted.

You almost seem comfy with it.

I’m not saying that there is no value in Benghazi, I just think the IRS scandal would be more effective to pursue.

You make a excellent case, but you're missing the forest for the all the logical trees you point out.

It's glaringly obvious that there is something at the bottom of all this. You can smell it.

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney today indicated the White House will refuse to cooperate with a new House committee tasked with investigating Benghazi.
There are no laws the Odumbo regime accepts apply to his personal flying monkey criminals. Why should be any different?

“We have always cooperated with legitimate oversight,” Carney said
"Legitimate Oversight" = members chosen from Odumbo's personal army of thugs.

You’ve been here long enough... You don’t remember MiaT from the Clinton impeachment days? She’d post long, graphics heavy dissertations like that all the time. Think she eventually got banned for pissing the wrong person off.

No, I don't. Clinton's biggest crime was selling nuclear secrets to the Chinese for campaign contributions.
