Speaker of the House John Boehner has ordered the establishment of a new special committee to investigate the 2012 attacks on Americans in Benghazi — but some liberals don’t want any Democrats to take part in the hearings.
“Member of Congress told me she will urge Nancy Pelosi to appoint NO Democrats to Special Benghazi Committee,” liberal talk radio host Bill Press wrote on Twitter on Monday. “She’s right!”
On Monday, Boehner announced that he is tapping South Carolina Rep. Trey Gowdy to serve as chairman of the select committee hearings.
“With four of our countrymen killed at the hands of terrorists, the American people want answers, accountability, and justice,” Boehner said Monday. “Trey Gowdy is as dogged, focused, and serious-minded as they come.”
Boehner has long resisted calls from members of his party to establish a select committee — he has said the investigations going on in other committees are adequate — but said last week he decided a select committee was needed after determining that the Obama administration had withheld documents from a congressional subpoena....

Its not like it is going to make any of the evening alphabet network news shows. They control those.

Democrat members of Congress don’t care about what you think. They only care about what people in their districts think, and most have specially carved out “safe” districts.

If the pubs run this in a professional, aggressive, and apolitical manner they will expose Obama’s underbelly of lies. His words, deeds, and failures. With or without the Dems, this needs to be handled in a media savvy way.
Bill Bennett was right. Democrats not standing against Der-SlickMyster and the Monica Deal, was a mess of pottage and that it would destroy their party. It has happened, they are soulless, rudderless an without a keel when it comes to their moral compass as a Party of what they will and will not accept, and they don't give a crap by her statement. Someday even the most unengaged (or worse) citizen might wake up and say that just isn't right. One may hope.
I agree with Rush’s comments this morning. I don’t think the Elites and MSM realize just how angry and disgusted the American people are. Everyone I talk to is outraged about all the scandals and DeathCare!!! And, I don’t live in a Conservative state!
Not if the WH also refuses to cooperate. What will Boehner do about that? Posture and that's about it. While these hearings are a year and half late they should be held - however nothing will come of any of this. Not a waste of time but I think some have mistaken expectations. We do have John Boehner on our side unfortunately.
You have the closest response I have seen. I have come to the conclusion that the GOP has determined that this dictatorship can only be torn down by the military. And to do that, they need the military behind them.
Prove they left those boys behind and cared nothing for them, then move forward.
I pray the rest of America is as disgusted as we are.
The RATs won’t play. This will allow them to call the Select Committee “a partisan witch hunt” and will give the media an excuse to ignore it.

By a margin of 61-26 percent, voters believe that the White House is “trying to cover-up” what happened in Benghazi rather than “being open and transparent.”
About a third of Democrats (33 percent), two-thirds of independents (66 percent) and almost all Republicans (87 percent) say the Obama administration is hiding something on Benghazi.
Democrats know there was a cover-up that’s why they don’t want the truth to come out. Not participating only makes them appear more guilty.

As it has turned out, he was right to stall, because we now have evidence that wasn’t available even a month ago.
Like a stopped clock, he’s right, but for all the wrong reasons.
