SUMTER, S.C. - Authorities say a 33-year-old man beat a woman to death with a hammer in a Sumter County home and hurt her 14-year-old daughter and a disabled woman in the home.
Investigators said one of the injured women managed to call 911 on Saturday morning, and deputies arrested Jason Compton as he stood outside smoking a cigarette.
Deputies say Compton beat the 44-year-old woman, then forced the woman's 14-year-old daughter to see what he had done. He continued beating the mother when the teen refused to have sex.

He should be a piñata until dead.
Pardon, yes I meant Jason. Thank you.
And the $^%#* National Hammer Association will pressure politicians to block anti-hammer laws. We have to defeat politicians who answer to the NHA.
Looks proud of himself. No question of guilt. Appeal should take 10 mins. Rope can be reused.
Would a ball peen hammer be considered an assault hammer?...just askin’.
Clearly the only recourse is that all hammers must be collected by the government. Heaven forbid someone gets their hands on an assault hammer

Dreadful. Nuke the perp from orbit.
That crusty snot in his nostril screams class.
We need a safety bracelet to disarm hammers
So, how many hours of a state mandated hammer safety class will we now be required to take, before we can apply for a hammer and carpentry tools license?
Right, no one needs an automatic hammer to hunt deer. Even you will have to admit that.
“Would a ball peen hammer be considered an assault hammer?...just askin.”

If you had your balls peened would you consider yourself assaulted?
I was speaking with all seriousness about the firing squad, in that, in Utah and Idaho, it is currently legal. It is very inexpensive, practical, and like some of the other means of execution mentioned, quite legal.
The idea is that, as insurance, that if there are significant legal challenges in court, the state can say, “Fine, we will use the firing squad, and thus make legal arguments moot.”
Justice will prevail much faster.
Whatever state executed Gary Gilmore used a set of matched 30-30 Winchester Model 94s. Imagine what they would go for on Gunbroker.
