He also “parts company” with true conservatism. What a socialist idiot!
I’m almost glad he lost.

Never mind the hundreds of thousands of people who will no longer have a job at all.

The big-government/big-corporate crony-fascist complex likes a high minimum wage because it eliminates competition from pesky small businesses.

this is just proof that the DC insiders have no clue about the real world. They see outside the NYC/Beltway as a serf zone and the insiders are out benevolent aristocrat oligarch rulers.

I believe that if you are going to get socialism, may as well get the full measure instead of socialism lite.

Seems like he’s really trying to pay penance for his 47% comment by appearing sympathetic to liberal causes. This way he can run for president again.

Is this the same Mitt Romney who, while at Bain, used to go into companies and cut salaries and other costs to turn bankrupt companies back into viable businesses? I guess its just not that important to create viable turn-around and start up companies anymore.

you know... like most of you I think that raising the minimum wage will increase inflation and increase unemployment while eliminating lower wage jobs and will speed up the transition from low wage jobs for people to machines.
BUT.
The polls show the vast majority of US citizens want to raise the minimum wage.
If the job of our representatives in government is to represent our views, shouldn't they support policies “such as this” that the vast majority want, if if we personally disagree with them?
