WASHINGTON (AP) — Former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton are in Oxford, England, this weekend to attend the graduation ceremonies of their daughter, Chelsea.
Chelsea Clinton will receive her doctorate degree in international relations on Saturday from the prestigious British university. Her father was a Rhodes scholar at Oxford from 1968 to 1970.
The graduation ceremony comes as her mother is considering a potential 2016 presidential campaign.
The 34-year-old Clinton is reaching a number of milestones this year. In addition to her doctorate, Clinton and her husband, Marc Mezvinsky, are expecting their first child in the fall. And she has taken a more public role at her family's Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton Foundation, where she serves as vice chairwoman.
If her mother runs for president, the younger Clinton could be an asset in connecting with younger voters and members of her generation.

How can one get a PhD in International Relations?
Universities have broadened and changed what will be awarded a Doctorate now to be able to give out a higher degree than a Masters, with Dr attached, in fields not applicable. It’s for show. Sounds better than Double Master.
Eg Doctorates in Administration or this.
Maybe all you have to do is tell them that you are the daughter of a president and you are in!
I think what I have heard the PHD stands for is correct. Piled Higher & Deeper, sounds about right!

In 2011 she started on her doctorate, working on it remotely at her home in New York.
She has been employed by NBC as a special correspondent since November 2011. She also works for the Clinton Foundation and the Clinton Global Initiative.
She serves on several boards of directors.
On April 14 she announced she was expecting her first child.
What could possibly be next? Perhaps she can serve in Hillary’s cabinet.
Wonder how much her dissertation cost.

I’m still wondering how she got her undergraduate degree at Stanford. She was more than frequently in pictures traveling whenever her parents went on the road. Seemed like she missed a lot of class.
British Universities allow someone with usually a master’s degree to earn a Ph.D. just by writing a dissertation.
But I must say Chelsea’s seems unusual. I don’t every recall the Clintons, any of them bragging that Chelsea was working on a Doctorate Degree at Oxford. And brag they do!
