Bundy Supporters Drove ATVs Through Native American Ruins
Yahoo-ey News ^ | 5-12-14 | Sara Morrison

"If there's one thing that will get your point across and persuade the general public to support your cause, it's driving a bunch of ATVs through Native American ruins and burials.

That seems to be the logic used by anti-Bureau of Land Management, pro-Cliven Bundy protestors who drove ATVs through a Utah canyon trail where motorized vehicles are banned. The rally was organized by Phil Lyman who, believe it or not, is actually a commissioner of San Juan county, home of Recapture Canyon. Hundreds of years ago, it was also home to the Puebloans, as evidenced by the ruins of their homes dug into the canyon rock. It is currently on federal land."

How do they know they were “Bundy supporters”?

Just demonizing them with no evidence?

Yeah, and they were going out of their way to put tread marks on desert tortoises.

Self-identified including Bundy's son (I think?).

And they didn't drive "through the ruins", they drove on an ordinary-looking jeep trail below the ruins.

Are they inferring that the BLM guys didn’t?

Even so, I would consider the “trespass” as being trumped by military necessity. Reminds me of the scene in Tora Tora Tora where the Audubon Society wouldn’t let the army put the radar station on the mountain where the coverage would be best.

If they really knew who the were they would have had them arrested. Just part of a disinformation campaign.

I didn’t really expect the fedthugs to tell the truth about the situation.

Uh, the Canyon has been open to motorized vehicles for decades.

It's just now that 0bama, Rustler Reid and their minions want you OUT OF THEIR PARK.

So . . . can we look forward to having Manhattan placed off-limits for motorized vehicles? How about most of the Northeast which once was the domain of Native Americans?

MrB:" How do they know they were “Bundy supporters”? "

Since they transgressed land claimed by BLM, even though it was weeks after the confrontation,
they are 'assumed' to be "Bundy supporters"
Another case of "Jingo Journalism" by media .

Yahoo is worried about this? I found out moments ago I have a saudi keyboard. Pressing a certain key on the saudi keyboard activates a sleeper. Had to go into virtual reality to kill the sleeper and yahoo is worried about an ATV ride?

Beats driving pregnant cows to their death or killing rare turtles.

So the Indians like in the cliffs and the ATV’s drive up the river bottom. The people who want to keep everyone out says the drivers defiled the Indians. I wouldn’t trust anything the BLM said or anyone associated with BLM on this matter.

Thanks for posting, but I’m not reading the stupid article.

Did they actually drive on an Indian ruin? They shouldn’t do that. Some alphabet agency should shoot them and their families. Gaia demands justice.

Tell her the Ohlone want the land back where she lives in San Francisco.

Everyone runs over Dinosaur ruins ALL THE TIME....

Eventually people will be driving over other people’s graves on a regular basis.

In my home country my ancestors ruins are probably being driven over all the time...

Some perspective is needed
