There are some Socialists who have a Marxist/Leninist orientation and support Cuba, Venezuela, and now apparently Putin’s moves in the Ukraine. Other Socialists are more oriented to views fairly popular in Scandinavian and other northern European countries. Perhaps as different as tea party and RHINO

Scottish Socialist Party (SSP) leader Colin Fox is a so-called socialist political leader who often serves as an agit-prop apologist for the Soviet Union and pro-communist Russians. His socialist organization/s seek to separate Scotland from the United Kingdom as much to join Scotland to the international socialist-communist movement as it is to support the anti-British political movement.
