Good. That should make him available to serve in a capacity more in line with his qualifications.

I’ll bet he is re-elected anyway.

He will run as a write in. Remember Lisa Murkowski from Alaska?

That is assuming, of course, that his people know how to write!

In a normal city (not Detroit) in a normal state (not Michigan), this man should have been hounded out of office or never elected in the first place.

He represents the very best of what it takes to be a city dog catcher. He (and his family) have managed to survive and thrive for an inordinate amount of time at the expense of tax payers! He was corrupt then and he is corrupt now.

He reminds of the likes of the late, former “marbles in his mouth” Coleman Young and the radical Kenneth Cockrel from the Detroit City Council and others who DESTROYED Detroit from within.

Conyers represents the radical African-American 60’s agenda combined with GRAFT and corruption on a seismic scale, leading his constituents to the poor house for decades.

He will find a liberal judge to over rule this County Clerk.

Don't you know who I am? I'm John Conyers. Yes, THE John Conyers, Democrat representative from Michigan and longest serving member of the House of Representatives.

What do you mean I didn't get enough signatures to qualify for the primary ballot? I'm THE john Conyers and that's my seat. I'll do a write-in campaign if I have to, but I own that seat in Congress and I want it back. You fools can't deny me my rightful seat. I'll get my revenge on you yet. You just watch.

Nah, he’ll just break out his emergency reserve of write in votes and win again. He’s sure to have the dead people’s vote.

Write-Ins do work and work very well IF, the candidate is the one people want to have represent them. Since Conyers failed to get enough signatures to get his name on the ballot does not mean people won’t vote for him. Name recognition is a major issue and NOT having his name on the ballot will make his election far more difficult.

You're assuming his supporters know how to write.

they’ll find a left-wing hack judge that deems this law “unfair” and put him back on the ballot.

I agree with those who say the Demoncrats will find a way to keep this jackwipe in office. Never, ever underestimate the depths they’ll sink to and the illegalities they’ll commit to retain power. And never, ever underestimate the fecklessness of the GOP to let them.

I don’t expect his followers to correctly spell his name, or even bring their own pen.

Actually, he got enough signatures; just not enough legit signatures to qualify to be on the ballot. Many were disqualified because the person wasn’t a registered voter and some because the signature collector wasn’t a registered voter in the District....That’s why candidates usually look for half again as many signatures as they need, if not twice as many.

Didn’t hurt Murkowski in AK; plus Conyers hs been representing that district and those people for 47 years. Add in that he is a Democrat and you have a sure fire win for him.
