HRC’s Project One America Seeks to “Move the South” for LGBTQ People (Or Gays leave the South?)
Slate ^ | May 13, 2014 | J. Bryan Lowder, assistant editor

Posted on 05/14/2014 1:36:45 AM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

I wrote earlier this month about the LGBTQ movement’s new focus on the South, led by funders like Tim Gill and organizations like the Human Rights Campaign. While it remains to be seen what style of activism will work best in a region that has a knack for avoiding difficult conversations and a tendency to resist change, it’s clear that the current paradigm of “two Americas” that HRC president Chad Griffin describes—one in which certain kinds of gay equality are on the rise and another in which discrimination and helplessness before the law is commonplace—must come to an end.

No doubt in an effort to drive that point home, HRC’s Project One America released a video yesterday featuring the voices of LGBTQ people from states like Mississippi, Alabama, and Arkansas. They speak of fear for their jobs, the inability to show even the most innocent signs of affection in public, and a pervasive feeling of “despair” brought on by the sense in the community that there is something wrong with them. In a particularly poignant moment, a lesbian couple realizes that they sit four feet apart on the couch even in the privacy of their own home: “You start becoming what you pretend to be,” Joce, one of the pair, observes.

(VIDEO-AT-LINK)

Hearing all these stories of struggle, it’s easy to wonder why LGBTQ people don’t all just leave the South. But the interviewees make a point of expressing their love for the region...

This push to “move the South” is a concentrated campaign to belittle and deny the morals, values and rights of religious and normal people their beliefs, period.

Perversion it seems is now law of the land. They are ‘equal’ okay, I can get that even if I don’t like it.

What they really want, and it is something they will not get left to free choice of a free people; is acceptance as ‘normals’ which they will never be.

But they will keep fighting, and they are after our children to make the sea change - in our schools, in our media and entertainment, and in the hearts of cowardly leaders who don’t want to stand up for decency.

Yeah...they think they are black. So they will use the same tactics and bring selective lawsuits like the one in Arkansas....one judge in one venue to destroy the entire state.

They are NOT equal. They politically have the exact same rights that everyone has...they can vote and can pay their taxes, follow the same speed laws etc.

What they cannot do is change the definition of marriage to insinuate that what they do is the same as marriage. And should they succeed, they will not be “accepted”. Changing the definition doesn’t change what marriage is any more than calling white black makes it so.

It is really time to tell them and their judges NO. The majority of county clerks in Ark. sat out...just a few licenses were issued in Little Rock, I think? It needs to be all of them and they need to not be recognized.

These pervs can move to NY or CA...

Usually, that would imply a really large couch. Note how the lead are the lesbians, somehow supposed to be more acceptable than anal penetration of one man by another. There are a lot of lesbian face-sucking scenes on cable TV of late, too. (more channels to not watch)

When this becomes “acceptable” in all 50 states, then for sure the end is here.

I live in Birmingham. I do not for one second underestimate the power of homosexual propaganda and the strength of a few reprobates against normal citizens in a Christian-ish part of the country. Ask anyone here under the age of 30, and most already blindly support all things LGBT. Ask any number of Christian-ish mega churchers, not to mention Episcopalians and Methodists. These are not deep thinkers or well catechized people. They would far prefer to go along/get along and lend their support to the shallow sentiments of “equality” and “social justice” than dig into the details and learn why the hsx agenda is so terrible for society.

We need to put forth our own counter-propaganda. To that end, I recommend getting to know two people in particular.

1. Get to know Pr. Scott Lively
He’s been battling the Homosexual fascists for about 20 years now. Read his bio when you get a chance. He’s currently running as an Indy for Gov. of Massachusetts (the GOP wants nothing to do with him).

Mainly though, I want everyone to know about Pr. Lively’s excellent resources for parents and citizens. They are available as FREE downloads (though you should donate whatever amount you can).

REDEEMING THE RAINBOW: A CHRISTIAN RESPONSE TO THE “GAY” AGENDA
A textbook for understanding the homosexual movement, its history and agenda.

2. Get to know Robert Oscar Lopez
He’s a repentant homosexual committed to exposing the truth about the homosexual lifestyle and agenda. None of us should have to know this vile stuff. But it is clear we no longer have the option of remaining agnostic on this issue. We must inform ourselves, and in so doing there will necessarily be a number of shocks to our sensibilities. Start with Mr. Lopez’s most recent article at the top of the list, then work your way down the line:

Bookmark Lopez’s blog. You will need a strong stomach and you will need to open your eyes, wiiiiiide. You’ll find item after item detailing homosexual predation, deviancy and fascist tactics... and oddly enough, none of the real life characters are anything at all like the sweet charming daddies on Modern Family.

THE LOPEZ BLOG IS HERE:

Please pass this info on to church members, homeschool families, neighbors, friends, and anyone else you can think of.

The amazing thing is that just a few short years ago this depraved, disgusting behavior was criminalized, as it should still be. It wasn’t some accident that their behavior was criminalized. It was because our Founders setup our nation as a Christian nation, and all the laws they passed were indistinguishable from God’s commands. They did that because they desired God’s “propitious smiles,” His blessings, and they knew that obedience to God is the only way to receive those blessings.

But now we’re obviously at a point where the majority are non-Christian, and are going to hell right along with all the depraved they support. We’re already feeling the lash of God’s wrath, going from a rich and prosperous nation to one teetering on the brink of bankruptcy. But it will become profoundly worse as we sink further into depravity. God is not mocked.

I know a number of homosexuals/lesbians down in the Biloxi, MS area. Some are cohabitating as “couples” and I haven’t heard any complaints from them about being singled out. As far as I’m concerned, the article is bogus - those who “fear” because of their sexual orientation are probably not being honest about the real reason (activism or other obnoxious traits and habits).

I too live in the BHM metro area. I can 2nd Sally's testimony. The 5 fronts of political correctness/culutral Marxism here in BHM are (1) BHM city government (the city is 72% black), (2) the University of Alabama-Birmingham (has a major HIV/AIDs study/treatment clinic),(3) The Birmingham News (which is dominated by white women upper management), (4) the local, old mainline protestant churches, i.e., TEC, ELCA, PCUSA, and UMC, which are all in the tank for social justice/ homosexual equality, and (5) the public school teachers. I have met several public school teachers who are "all in" for diversity/Common Core. We are losing the fight for the souls of the under 30 people in the Deep South.

12 Remember Anita Bryant from Florida? The MSM destroyed her career because she was anti-Sodomite.

Always worth reminding our Freepers who are too young to remember of were not even born yet.

6/07/1977 – American singer and former Miss Oklahoma beauty pageant winner, Anita Bryant, led a successful political campaign in Dade County, FL, to repeal an ordinance which prohibited discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation. At the time she appeared on all the top TV variety shows, did USO tours in Viet Nam to entertain the troops, and was a paid spokesman for the Florida Citrus Commission (FCC). The catch phrase in her FCC TV ad was “Breakfast without orange juice is like a day without sunshine.” She was named Good Housekeeping's "Most Admired Woman Of The Year" in 1978 and 1980.

Homosexual activists launched a nationwide boycott of orange juice products to retaliate against her. At a public event she was hit in the face with a pie by a homosexualist activist. This may have been the 1st “contract pie hit” in a long line of protests since. The FCC did not renew her contract in 1979 when it expired. YouTube - The Downfall Of Anita Bryant

Anita Bryant was the turning point in the history of this country towards it’s ultimate decay. It emboldened those who sought to destroy all the vestiges of Western Civilization. They showed they would go to any length to destroy those in their path.

LGBTQ?

They keep adding letters. I have no idea anymore what they mean, other than a bunch of weirdos.

And, no, I don’t care anymore what they mean. I just wish they would all shut up and quit trying to jam their preferred activities (which should be private and none of my business) down my throat.
