Anyone going to this on Friday? I assume that means it starts Friday and last at least through the weekend - and maybe beyond. I would love to go but have to work.

More info at Patriots for America, Mission: Operation American Spring, Operation American Spring, Operation American Spring Forum and OAS Links.

I hope Ted Cruz, Michele Bachmann, Mike Lee and Sarah Palin show up. That would give it some gravitas.

For those that go, maybe they can start a live thread. I think Laz said he was going.

A whole lot of good that will do. Just don’t bring your guns.

I’ll oust Obama in 2016. It will be better.

I’d love to go—but can’t make it this time. It’s a lot of driving for me, and I no longer “do” planes.

I hope it’s a large turnout though—and that your message is heard loud and clear.

Operation American Spring

As far as I'm concerned, that's what the tea Party is: a permanent Operation American Spring. But we need to do more than just try to elect "good" politicians (some would say that is an oxymoron).

We need to do as Milton Friedman suggested:

Do what you can to elect the right people, but focus the major attention to make it politically profitable for the wrong people to do the right thing.

You do that by cutting government until it's back to 3-5% of our GDP, KEEPING it small, and throwing the bums out who don't keep it small.

The spirit of resistance to government is so valuable on certain occasions that I wish it to be always kept alive.

I may be out of touch but they haven’t seemed to reach out to many TEA Party types or interested parties. It may have been a semi-secret militia event following up on the Bundy Ranch protest. If that is the case, there is little hope for something similar to what I’ve suggested on this forum. In fact, it could set us back a long ways. It takes publicity, organization and nonviolence on the part of the protestors. At this point let the oppressors shoot first.

With earlier warning would have gone. One day’s notice is too little for me. Work and a relative’s health problem means I have to know a few days in advance. Would like to be there.

Operation American Spring to hit D.C. to oust Obama, Biden, Boehner, Holder

Are they bringing a Guillotine? Probably not a bad idea.

Such short notice, otherwise I’d consider being there.

Anyone else smell a setup here? They're staging for a future rehash of the Clinton-era "right wing militia" gambit. We have a massive internal security infrastructure just waiting to be thrown into action, and guess who the first targets are going to be. I can hear the soccer moms now: "Thank -God- 0bama/Hillary the American Stasi is here to protect us from those enraged, gun-crazed, white supremacist, right wing males...."

Col Riley on Rush’s show today. He expects a massive group of patriots there. Let’s not disappoint him

M. Savage also broadcast the march on DC during his show this afternoon.

Of course, the MFM will more than likely ignore this

I was there on Friday.

It appeared to me that some of the leaders had been threatened. Early supporters were absent.

I did not go back on Saturday, but will be in DC area through this week.
