Residents of the north suburbs woke up to light snow on Friday, the first time it has snowed in Chicago in May in nearly 10 years.

Snow was falling in Hoffman Estates and Deerfield around 7:30 a.m. Snow was also reported on cars in the western suburbs.

I remember getting a foot of snow once in June up in Syracuse... back in 1976. It all melted the next day though.

Bravo! And I’d like to add that CO2 is heavier than air, a fact that most people don’t realize. It doesn’t float up into the atmosphere and create some kind of thermal barrier, but instead hangs down at ground level... for the plants to turn into O2!!! If there’s a surplus plants grow bigger and give off more oxygen! CO2 is as vital to life on earth as is oxygen.

I use those same statistics and ask "How will taxing me and reducing my standard of living and that of a majority of mankind affect anything?"

Since the first Surveyor satellite (1968) we've gotten an accurate handle on the percentage of the globe covered by vegetation/forests.

And, guess what, the percentage of the globe covered by forest has measurably increased every year since 1968.

In other words, kudzu is a greater threat than "climate change".

It’s very unusual for it to freeze at mid May. Hope it doesn’t mean we’ll have a cool summer.

Nope. Not even close.

Google, Google Scholar, Yahoo, or Wikipedia the veracity of the following:

Note: Data used are at Standard Conditions of the atmosphere at Sea Level, averaged for 1 or more years to smooth out volcanic eruptions, plant seasonal variations, major storms, etc.

* H2O vapor: ............ 2.5 % .... = 25,000 parts per million of atmosphere

* CO2 (gas phase)...... 0.04 %... = 400 parts per million of atmosphere

* 400+/- ppm CO2 levels occur at intervals of approximately 100,000 years, [Key words: Greenland, Antarctic, Vostok, Ice Core].

* Note on the main source of natural CO2: The Volcanic source of CO2 has recently been linked to H2S and SO2 gas concentrations, so more accurate CO2 Volcanic CO2 volume estimates may improve in the near future. Currently, CO2 measurements are highly variable and sparse.

The airborne suspended life of Natural and man-made CO2 have few data points.

Most published CO2/Temperature speculations are based on statistical inference with untested assumptions.

For example, the most widely used GW and CC computer models have over 200 dependent or independent variables, thus rendering these models impossible to test Scientifically. [Key phrase: junk science.]

Yup. Google Mammoth Lakes ski area in California, where skiers have died in the CO2 rich depressions.

Yup.

My first post on this thread was aimed at the average intellectual maturity of the average American Adult, which is twelve years old.

My second post was at the High School level: “OK class, use the computer to look stuff up, and write a 3 page, single spaced report on the atmosphere.”

Yours is Google Scholar: “What do peer-reviewed, Scientists know and how do they know it?”

Facts are few,
As you will see,
But that has never,
Ever stopped
Our curiosity!

“Now that is an offense to many.”

Not to me. I believe:

GOD is sovereign and in control.

HE doesn’t consult with me before HE does something. :)

But I often consult with HIM for wisdom and guidance.

And I have the hope of eternal life given by the shed blood of Jesus.

Thank you...
