The Obama administration Friday spelled out civil fines of up to $250,000 for knowingly and willfully providing false information to get taxpayer-subsidized coverage under the new health care law.

New regulations say the fines also apply for lying to escape the law's requirement that most Americans carry health insurance.

In order to insure the uninsured, we first have to un-insure the insured.

Next we require the newly un-insured to be re-insured.

To re-insure the newly un-insured, they are required to pay extra charges to be re-insured.

The extra charges are required so that the original insured, who became un-insured, and then became re-insured, can pay enough extra so that the original un-insured can be insured for free.

There, I hope that this clarifies this issue once & for all.

The purpose behind this move is clearly so the Obama/Holder justice department can prosecute those they wish to for political purposes.

An obvious conservative who doesn't subscribe is surely heading for trouble while some on the the Chicago who figures out how to scam the system will not even get a second glance.

Everyone will be a criminal one way or another. That’s how control will be maintained. Cue that speech from ‘1984.’

How about fining all the jag-offs who lied and claimed it would lower the average cost of health insurance by $2500 per family a cool quarter million?

Hussein writes “rules”, which have the same effect as laws but are not laws. He can write, and does, rules for every agency of government under the control of the president. We have a dictator without the actual title.

So what is the ‘fine’ for lying about birth certificates, social security numbers, Benghazi, et al ad infantum? What is the ‘fine’ for lying every time his lips are moving? La Guillotine cries out for a head...

BRILLIANT! :)

It even elicited a chuckle out of me - much needed on this gloomy day and this gloomy time in our country

Can I steal it?

civil fines of up to $250,000 ... also apply for lying to escape the law's requirement that most Americans carry health insurance.

OK, OK, you can have the $95.

It’s the greater of $95 or 1% of your gross income.

So, if your gross income is less than $9,500, then it’s $95.

“How about fining all the jag-offs who lied and claimed it would lower the average cost of health insurance by $2500 per family a cool quarter million?”

Because that would basically cover the entire membership of the Democratic Party, this would actually put a small, but noticeable dent in the national debt. I think that this is a great idea.

The 1% would be a lot for Rush.

He's said he's not going to get an O'care-compliant policy, and that he's going to claim hardship to avoid the tax. Now he may be looking at a $250,000 fine.

The government has lied to me over and over again.

I think they owe me around 10,000,000,000,000 by now.

“Show me the man and I’ll find you the crime.” L. Beria.

Anything can be a crime now that we are ruled by criminals. That’s what the bullet buys, SWAT teams, armored vehicles for police departments, and FEMA camps are for. Once the Feds have a pretext for a variation of martial law (they’ll never call it what it is), they’ll have multiple means of neutralizing inconvienient individuals.
