Many of us have been saying these thing here for a long time, but it's refreshing to have an "official," though ex, to tell some of the truth about this plane.
I never believed the plane was in the South Indian Ocean unless it was on its way to Antarctica, the only destination in that direction.

Planes Don't Just Disappear: Except when they do. Big ocean, small airplane with radar and other electronic devices that never perform at 100%. Ships, much bigger than airplanes, have disappeared without a trace through the ages and still do so today.

Based on what I’ve heard about (and from his own lips) this Mahathir character, I would not be surprised if he also blamed “the Jews”, the boogie man, and Godzilla.

One possibility might be that the Navy and the CIA got to test their new “Rail Gun” on the MH370 Boeing. Since the flight only carried Chinese and Malaysians they didn’t expect much serious technical blowback. That’s my guess and I’m sticking to it.
