Anyone hear of a big chase and/or shootout in Alamo, CA today?

Wife texted me that there were more police and emergency vehicles than she'd ever seen, thrashed car, one perp (female) handcuffed next to large black bag, apparently driver dead and police officer in critical condition.

Anyone closer to this?

She was at a store near the I-680 interchange there. She said one of the officers actually told one of the employees there to go after the running woman in the heat of the moment. I guess they bagged her shortly thereafter. She also commented that the officers surrounding the restrained suspect had the look of being seriously pissed off, like barely restrained...

Six-city chase ends with driver arrested in Alamo

by Action 4 News Staff

Authorities have confirmed a man is in custody following a chase that spanned six different cities in Hidalgo County.

It all started when a driver refused to stop for law enforcement officials in Palmview.

The driver then led authorities on a chase through Mission, McAllen, Pharr, San Juan and Alamo.

Investigators told Action 4 News that the chase ended in Alamo with the driver being arrested.

Neither the name of the driver nor a motive were immediately available.

Action 4 News will provide more information as it becomes available.

” Mission, McAllen, Pharr, San Juan and Alamo.”

Non of these cities are in Contra Costa County except Alamo. Wow why do I feel I just traveled into the Twilight Zone?

Looks more like a mixup of states...All of these locations appear to be in Hidalgo County, Texas, in the Lower Rio Grande Valley, or, as the natives often refer to it, "the Valley."

But the orig post said I-680...
Wiki for I-680:
>>Interstate 680 (I-680) is a north–south Interstate Highway in Northern California. It curves around the eastern cities of the San Francisco Bay Area from San Jose to Interstate 80 at Fairfield, bypassing cities along the eastern shore of San Francisco Bay such as Oakland and Richmond

Typing Alamo CA into google maps shows Alamo is just S of Walnut Creek and just N of Danville and I-680 goes right through it

Exactly Raccoon, I live here in the East Bay and we do have I-680 and a city of Alamo right here in Contra Costa. Wow these hot flashes are getting me confused. LOL
