Priorities: A Marine Corps combat veteran remains in a Mexican jail after missing a freeway ramp and crossing the border with legally owned American firearms — without a single hash tag from the White House.
It is a tough time for veterans these days, starting with those left to die — or even commit suicide — while on Veterans Administration waiting lists, seemingly abandoned by their commander-in-chief who early on promised to make things right and redress their grievances.
Also seemingly abandoned is Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi, a 25-year-old combat veteran, who was jailed in late March after he missed a freeway exit near San Ysidro, Calif., and drove into Tijuana.
In his trunk, Mexican authorities found three guns that he legally owned in the United States. Tahmooressi was incarcerated in La Mesa Prison in Tijuana, a fate the Obama administration's gun walkers in Fast and Furious never had to face.
At the time of his arrest, the 25-year-old active U.S. Marine reservist, who served two combat tours in Afghanistan, was moving to San Diego to be close to his treatment center for his post-traumatic stress disorder.
Proceedings against Tahmooressi are scheduled for May 28.
Soon after being jailed, Tahmooressi was transferred to a maximum security facility roughly 40 miles outside of Tijuana. After Mexican authorities said he allegedly attempted to escape and suffered a self-inflicted stab wound, he was at one point placed in a jail infirmary with his arms and legs restrained.

We have invaded Mexico already and our Marine should be home with his mother.
11 million people cross our border illegally and they are rewarded with benefits that would make them wealthy at home. Thousands are even forgiven for committing felony crimes, including rape and murder in our country, but Obama is deaf to the pleas for one of our own.
Because communists have usurped our government. Mexican nationals are their next round of useful idiots. Like the Russians & the Chinese/ Asians (& Africans) before them- under the “revolutionary” government, American citizens have no rights.
He has nothing to trade, no mexican wants to go home! I don’t think 0 has even addressed the situation with the mexican dictator they just trade stories about they have oppressed their Citizens!

Maybe Obama should offer to trade that ONE MARINE for 13 million ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS.

Priorities. This soldier rots in a Mexican jail, a pregnant Sudanese wife of a US citizen is sentenced to death for being Christian, and hundreds of girls have been kidnapped in Nigeria, a country that's our friend.
But look what the US has accomplished. In the time while all of this has been occurring, the US has managed to start re-arming nearly-defeated Syrian terrorists. Add to that the administration has been a forceful voice....to try to assure Sterling will sell the Clippers to black ownership.
Where are your priorities?

Because Obama, et al, AGREE with the Mexicans that the man should be jailed for having those guns.
Just like they agree that the Christian woman in Sudan should be hanged for being a Christian.
The marine needs to call a press conference, come out and accuse the Mexican Government of keeping him from marrying his gay lover. Obama will move heaven and earth to free him then.
If all remittances from the US to Mexico were stopped he would be returned on day one.
This lousy president can release 36,000 Mexican criminals who have invaded this country, but he isn’t interested in insisting that the rotten Mexican government release our Marine. His wife hasn’t even bothered to make her hashtag sign.

WHOA! Slow down there.. breaking out the hashtag is reserved for Defcon 2. That Barry Obama has to careful with his imperial powers, can’t just be tossing something as serious as hashtags around. /sarcasm

It’s not that the obamas don’t care about a Marine imprisoned in Mexico. It’s that they’re busy working so hard on coming up with a catchy hashtag for him.
On the bright side, he might be receiving better medical attention that he might with the VA.
The proper response to Mexico would be, “President Nieto, we will cease bombing Mexico City when you release our people.”
