Obama Administration just got caught in a massive lie
Fox News ^ | 5/22/14 | WVOC

The LA Times has been as friendly as possible to the Obama administration, but they can't ignore this. Today they broke the story that another massive lie around Obamacare has been told to the Congress and the American people. As you know "If you like your health plan, you can keep your health plan" was ranked as the biggest lie of the year by the Washington Post. Well here comes an early contender for this year's award.

The Republicans have been accusing the Obama administration of building into Obamacare an insurance plan for the insurance companies. A bailout if the insurance companies lost money under Obamacare. Their claim was that in the law was something called the temporary risk corridor program. Under that Republicans said the administration had allowed themselves a way to take tax dollars and bailout an insurance company that lost money. But the administration and the Democrats have denied that. Apparently the administration and the Democrats had been telling the truth...and didn't like it.

I don’t really think that obama and his minions really care what the people think. After all, he has a pen, a phone, and happens to have control of a corrupted military, along with every law enforcement agency, along with the backing of every socialist, communist, crony capitalist, and every media outlet, along with the 47% of the gimmedat population. I doubt he gives a shit what anybody thinks of him, because he has the gun, and you don’t. Hitler, Mugabe, Chavez, or even Stalin couldn’t have done a better job themselves.

Terrible writing. I am still having trouble deciphering this paragraph from the excerpt:

The Republicans have been accusing the Obama administration of building into Obamacare an insurance plan for the insurance companies. A bailout if the insurance companies lost money under Obamacare. Their claim was that in the law was something called the temporary risk corridor program. Under that Republicans said the administration had allowed themselves a way to take tax dollars and bailout an insurance company that lost money. But the administration and the Democrats have denied that. Apparently the administration and the Democrats had been telling the truth...and didn't like it.

From the linked article:

The LA Times reports that late last week hundreds of pages of new regulations were added to Obamacare. Their reporters went through it and found a few key paragraphs. The change in regulations essentially provides insurers with another backup: If they keep rate increases modest over the next couple of years but lose money, the administration will tap federal funds as needed to cover shortfalls. This could be hundreds of billions of dollars!

It appears to me that it was the Republicans who have been telling the truth, whereas the article seems to say that the dems were being truthful.

(As if the Obama administration would know the truth if it bit them!)

I think the headline should be.....obama admin just got caught NOT telling a lie!

You'd need rock solid evidence , that kind of statement gets people in trouble. :)

A scoundrel is a dashing rogue type you are upset your daughter is dating.

Democrats are human garbage. And I’m unsure about the human part.

FReepers have been predicting an insurance company bailout from the very beginning. We don’t have a government anymore, we have a federal protection racket.

Congress MUST stop them.

This is the all the pretext the House needs to "defund" Obamacare. By order of Obama (ie regulation), U.S. taxpayers will fund several trillion dollars over the next few years to subsidize Obamacare premiums and the compensate insurance companies for any losses suffered by them. This "risk pathway" was never envisioned by the ACAct passed by Congress. It breaks the CBO budget assumptions made at the time of passage. It is also contrary to the spirit of the legislation passed by Congress. It was carried out over Obama's signature alone, with no authorization from Congress. In substance, it is a material change to the legislation carried out by the executive branch without Congressional authorization.

The House now has the political cover, pretext, reason and constitutional mandate, to carry out its constitutional duty and defund Obamacare. The method would be to pass continuing resolutions to fund the government only upon the condition that none of those funds are used for the administration or funding of Obamacare.

If properly presented to the public, there would be broad political support for the House preventing this abuse of executive power by Obama.

This is the bribe that the ceo’s of the insurance companies accepted so the democrats could take control of the healthcare industry. They will get huge payouts in their pay while you pay more for insurance and less medical care.

Meanwhile congress exempted themselves. You pay for them.

"The story here is that the executive branch is writing law and spending money under the guise of regulation.

Too right you are! Devil's in the details, a.k.a. the "rules" writers...

Do you think the Speaker of the House (a.k.a. the human Cheese Puff) is honest?

Then we have the Tweedledum to the Senate's Tweedledee, Mitch McConnell.

I wouldn’t say it’s ‘wrong’, just seems to be a bit on the mellow side of terms for what Democrats actually are in reality.

When you (the general you) look at their history back to they Klan and beyond, they are an evil on the order of history’s greats. But where people like Mao and Stalin just wiped out their problems wholesale, dems prefer to corrupt them, make them suffer and off them in less direct ways...like attrition through Obamacare.

Sure, their death toll isn’t on par with the others...yet. But O care guarantees it will be within a decade or two once the medications stop being produced and all doctors speak Pakistani.

And that does not count those that will die from starvation or exposure once food and energy become unaffordable or unobtainable.

That’s part of their ploy. Just throw it all out there, pile after pile of scandal, subterfuge, lies, misinformation, etc., so that it’s so daunting to tackle, that your enemies can not stave off one part of the fire while it burns in another part.

I’m very worried for this country. Do we have the fortitude to fight back? I mean.. literally FIGHT.

the big lie here is that the bailout money will go to health insurance companies which supposedly have lost money by providing payments to cover obozocare. Is there any agency in this government that is, not just supposed to be, but is following where all the billions have gone under this administration?? $600 billion to build the ACA web site that doesn't even work?? Really?? And the billions more obozo spends on green energy. Congress’ approval is now at 17%? To me and across the board, DC is one huge negative for all of us.
