On Thursday, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) and Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) gave House Republicans six weeks to pass amnesty legislation before President Barack Obama starts to use executive actions to ease deportations and change immigration laws.
“We’ve waited 329 days, we’re willing to wait another six weeks,” Reid said, according to Politico. “But at the end of six weeks, if something hasn’t been done, then there’s gonna have to be a move made. And it’s too bad we have to do that, because we all know things can be done administratively, but it’s better to change the law.”
Schumer, who has previously said there could be legislation by "June or July," concurred.
“They have about a six-week window, from June 10 after the last Republican primary until the August recess. If they don’t pass immigration reform them, the president will have no choice but to act on his own,” he said, according to The Hill.
Schumer, along with Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-IL), has said that this year is the last chance to pass sweeping amnesty legislation. The New York Democrat has also suggested that Congress pass the Senate's amnesty bill, which the Congressional Budget Office determined would lower the wages of American workers, but delay the implementation of it until Obama leaves office in 2017. Reid also endorsed Schumer's suggestion, which would give amnesty to all illegal immigrants who arrived in the country before 2014.
House Republicans have said they would not proceed on amnesty legislation until they could trust Obama to enforce the nation's immigration laws....

You are right Laz. Immigration reform will permanently infuse the slippery slope toward the breakup of the US. I have seen several foreigners predict this, but now I can see it could be highly plausible especially since Hispanics will be empowered with political control of the SW 1/4 of the country.

And remember how Obama's "Deferred Action for (ahem) Children" was praised? Seems when kiddy "Dreamers" called on Democrats to pressure Obama to bring in more of them, the kids had a receptive audience.

The political gamesmanship is reflective of Democrats' desperation about upcoming elections that threaten to wrest from their hot little hands, the all-consuming power they desperately cling to. They will say anything, and do anything, to hang on to total power.
It's some consolation to know that history is replete with failed power-mongers----the people are soon onto their game and in a flash, they are gone. There was Peron, Mussolini, Ceasescu, and the little house-painter in 1940's era Europe. Most of them met an unenviable end.

This is nothing but the ethnic cleansing of what used to be a country called the United States of America. The people most badly affected, oddly enough, will be blacks- who are the Democrats past favored voting bloc.
Beyond Obama’s authority.
There is already de facto amnesty in the U.S. Failure to enforce, open borders, wilderness designation at one of the largest illegal border crossings, criminal releases, what’s left? The only thing left is imparting citizenship by executive order, and in my opinion the would trigger a grassroots uprising and impeachment regardless of melanin insurance.
