President Obama has made an unannounced visit to Afghanistan this Memorial Day weekend, Fox News has learned.

I love the video of GWB surprising the troops on Thanksgiving, or was it Christmas? and comparing it to the video of O’s visit some time ago. What a difference the reaction was. I’m at work so I can’t pull it up to post.

Agreed. obozo feels nothing for anyone, except himself. He's a sociopath of some sort, and does nothing that doesn't promote himself or put him in a good light. He is the Bad Seed for our time. Charming, charismatic, glib, and totally void of feeling, cares not about the pain and suffering of others. Case in point..the VA scandal comes to light, vets have died waiting to obtain medical care. What does obozo do? He goes to play a around of golf. Another case is what happened in Benghazi. A plan to impress the public & win the upcoming election goes bust & blows up in obozo/Jarret's face. Our Ambassador & four civilians beg for help and rescue, and ValJar gives the word thru obozo to our troops to “stand down” instead. Then obozo’s sent into hiding until ValJar can come up with some story to cover her puppet boy obozo’s hide. obozo knows nothing about nothing. Every commie/socialist/marxist/muzie infiltrator in this administration must be tried for treason and sentenced to hang, fry, bleed or rot in jail.

This is more about the VA scandal and Barry’s attempt to repair his approval ratings ahead of our mid-term elections in November.

For starters, the press contingent is very small—much smaller than the pool that accompanied Bush on his secret visits to Afghanistan and Iraq. That suggests a trip that was hastily arranged. It’s also no accident that the three reporters selected to accompany Zero come from three of the “friendliest” media outlets to the administration: Reuters, the AP and Bloomberg.

Additionally, it’s very interesting that no broadcast reporters were selected—that gives the White House total control over the imagery, via their official videographers and DoD media. Expect to see some very “flattering” images of the President and the troops in the coming hours—just in time for Memorial Day. It would have been very easy to add a broadcast crew from one of the networks to provide pool coverage, but they didn’t. With Jay Carney catching more flack from some of the MSM TV types (such as Jonathan Karl of ABC), the White House apparently decided there was no one in the radio or TV realm they could trust.

Obama’s decision not to meet with Afghan officials also smacks of a quickly-arranged trip. I’m sure the administration will cite the Afghan elections as a reason to stay on base, but it wouldn’t be that difficult to arrange a quick session with Karzai, on base at Bagram, with our folks controlling access and security. Quite literally, Obama could have called Karzai en route to Afghanistan and told him there would be an American helicopter at his compound at a specified time; if they want the aid money and security assistance to continue, be on the Blackhawk.

There are also reports that Barry Zero will visit the military medical center at Landstuhl, Germany on his return trip. It would be interesting to know how long it’s been since he met with our wounded at that facility. The addition of the hospital to his itinerary gives him more optics with wounded warriors, and provides another clue about the motives behind this trip.
