Mark Levin pointed out proof last night that McConnell may keep parts of Obamacare should he become majority leader in the Senate. He read an article from The Hill where McConnell is now saying, after the primary, that the Kentucky exchange might survive Obamacare repeal:
In a statement, McConnell campaign spokeswoman Allison Moore said Kentucky should “decide for itself whether to keep” the exchange “or set up a different marketplace” if the healthcare law is repealed.
Levin argues that if Obamacare is repealed then there would be no state-based marketplace left, that the only marketplace would be one that is created by the people.

Gosh, Kentucky, would the guy who went to a cock fight really have been so awful that you had to keep McConnell? (I ask my fellow Nevadans the same question, would Sharron Angle really have been worse then Harry Reid?)
Sharron Angle did not get the full support of the GOPe. Neither did some of the other Tea Party candidates. The war is on against the GOPe.
He will also keep trying to undermine the TEA Party and its candidates
McConnell need to go. Period.
Grimes would be no worse than him and at least we’d get another GOPe lifer out of Congress.
It’s beyond maddening that he did not get primary’d out.

Levin is right. Without Obamacare and the legislation behind it there would be no healthcare exchange in Kentucky. If Obamacare goes away then so does the exchange. McConnell is talking out both sides of his mouth on this one.
If Obamacare is immediately repealed, America health care system will crash so hard it will take years to reestablish a private insurance type of patient care. The insurance industry is a mess. And don’t forget the hundreds of additional regulations beside the health care part that must be somehow reversed without constant turmoil.
Yep. But McConnell has some real problems in KY.
First, he trashed and then bragged about crushing the Tea Party in KY.
The same folks he will need to beat Grimes.
Second: McConnell only won his last election by 6%
6% is not much.
Third: there are more registered Democrat Voters than GOP voters in KY.
And Grimes is a much better opponent than McConnell had in his last election.
Based on these factors, McConnell has some real problems.
So much so, he is sending out his Mini-Me, Rand Paul to try to prop him
up after he trashed every KY conservative.
If you get into the math, It will only take a small percent of KY conservates
who show up at the polls, but do not vote for McConnell to make him the
newest member of Trent Lott’s DC Lobbying Firm.
Levin is right.
There is not a dime’s worth of difference between McConnell, Boehner, Reid and Pelosi.
Agreed.
The GOPe needs to be spanked and spanked hard.
Apparently they did not get the message with Romney’s defeat.
Ergo, Mark Levin floating the Idea last week of picking a Senator that doesn't hold our values and just stay home....
Hmmm... Will that Idea get some sea legs between now and November and actually transpire?... We shall see.
No new polls have been released since McConnell crushed the KY Tea Party.
The coming polls should give an indication, if any, if KY conservatives
Harbor anger against MCConnell.
The last polls showed a tie between McConnell and Grimes.
If I lived in Kentucky I would vote for Grimes. It would be better to a have freshman nobody Democrat as the junior Senator than a Obama Republican backstabber like McConnell as the GOP Majority Leader. The GOP declared war on the Tea Party and I think we declare war on them right back.
If the 0bama GOP are only going to have the Senate for two years there is NO need for Mitch in 2014.
Levin is late but welcome to the Ditch Mitch party.
No, we should never stay home. Go to the polls and vote all the down-ticket. That way they KNOW you were there and did not do their bidding ... you didn’t just get too busy or too lazy to vote .
This information would have been useful before the primary, precisely why Mitch didn’t bring it up until after. He deserves to lose.
If by magic we could repeal Obamacare and ALL regulations (State/Federal) related to medical care resulting in a situation where there was absolutely NO government interference, then I have no doubt in short order the mechanisms of the marketplace (people voting with their $) would quickly provide a path that would provide quality healthcare at a decreasing price.
The fallacy is people "believing" that healthcare is different, that natural market forces would not work.
